Protective treatment in the prison

The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of protective treatment in the prison. The aim is to define the basic forms of safeguards in connection to current legislation and to bring the individual protective measures and types of treatment, summarize the issues and assess them in terms of their contribution. The first section provides basic laws, which are related to this topic. The second section is devoted to prison system in the Czech Republic. Additionally, there are described treatment programs and specialized departments. The last two sections summarize the findings about the development, purpose, classification and duration of protective measures and also about security of the detention. Processed are the targets of protective treatment, its storage, basic types of treatment and their characteristics.
Eating disorder

This thesis summarizes the multifactorial causes of eating disorders in the context of current socio-cultural determinants, with a special focus on children and adolescents. The theoretical background for this thesis, as specified in the introduction, is a general overview of the possible causes, occurrence, course, prognosis, and diagnostic criteria of eating disorders, with an emphasis on younger school age and adolescent age. The central topic of my Bachelor's thesis is a questionnaire-based survey of the knowledge, recognition abilities, interventions, general attitudes towards the issue, and the implementation of primary prevention of eating disorders among members of the teaching staff in the sixth to ninth grades of normal elementary schools. The secondary objective of the thesis is to provide statistical data for the last five years due to the increase in the number and hospitalization rate of paediatric and adolescent patients with eating disorders at the Clinic of Paediatric Psychiatry and the incidence of these disorders in combination with a dual diagnosis. The comparative method and a questionnaire were used in this thesis.
Therapeutic community for addicted in Czech republic

Addictive substances (or drugs), which include substances as methamphetamine, heroin, alcohol but also drugs as analgesics, are in today's society often abused. Drug use may remain in occasional, not damaging use. However, the occasional use can develop through several stages to the dependence (or dependence syndrome). This happens if the individual is no longer able to be without this substance and in the case of lack of this substance, withdrawal symptoms can occure. As a consequence of the development of substance abuse, interconnected network of services for addiction treatment (ie secondary prevention) was formed. This includes also the therapeutic community. Therapeutic community is a residential service. This means that clients live here. Everyday program is clearly structured. Everyone without exception have to observe regime and rules. In the case of their violation there is a risk of penalty. The program contains several kinds of activities such as group therapy, community meetings, individual sports, art therapy, etc. All activities and the whole community has a positive therapeutic effect on the healing process. This thesis deals with Education of Roma children in the Czech Republic. It sums up basic facts relating to arrival of Roma in Europe and in the Czech Republic, deals with societal reactions to this arrival and relations progress between Roma and major society. The attention is focused on a existing conception of Roma education, determinants of Roma children education, social exclusion of their families, possible risks of troubleshooting behaviour, affirmative approaches including establishing preliminary studies and positions for education assistants, The practical part is focused on education assistants.

TITTLE: Risk behaviour and leisure activities for children before they are placed in Children's home ABSTRACT: Thesis Risk behavior and leisure activities for children they are placed in children's home is oriented on the factors that influence spending time children before they are placed in a children's home and how spend children their time. In the theoretical part of my work dealing with the substitute family care and family preservation. The chaps risk behaviour and leisure time are fundamental. Where I studied documentation and did twenty-six interviews with children. The main part is devoted to the presentation of the obtained results, so how children spend their time before they are placed in a children's home. The results are analyzed and possible solutions and recommendations for working with children and families in family preservation.
Use of psychotherapeutic techniques for changing the attitudes and the relationship of day care centre staff to clients with severe multiple disabilities

This thesis deals with the subjectively perceived problematical relationship between the employees of a day care centre (who are either professional caregivers or teachers) and clients or pupils with severe multiple disabilities. Examining this relationship and other selected problematical situations took place as part of short-term group work project using psychotherapeutic techniques. The group work facilitated a change in the relationship of the day care centre's employees with the clients. The research was conducted with a small group of probands from the Zahrada Integration Centre and from the Zahrádka Elementary School in Prague 3. The following professional methods have been used in the preparation of this thesis: an analysis of the relevant scientific literature, group work with a small group of probands using some elements of psychotherapy, a questionnaire survey, an analysis of records concerning the progression of problematical situations and data analysis of case studies. The findings of this thesis are that group sessions comprising elements of psychotherapy represented a supportive factor in regard to the perception of the problematical relationships of individual probands with their clients.
