Biomethane production in biogas plants
Matoušek, Jakub ; Miklas, Václav (referee) ; Vondra, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the production of biomethane in biogas plants. The introductory part presents the operation of the biogas plant, its inputs, components, and products. The main part of the thesis deals with the perspective of biomethane in the Czech Republic and Europe and progressive technologies for the conversion of biogas to biomethane. The basic principle, advantages and disadvantages of each upgrade method are given. Common technologies at the level of commercial readiness include high pressure water scrubbing, organic physical scrubbing, chemical scrubbing process, pressure swing adsorption and membrane separation. The mentioned methods of biogas upgrading are evaluated and compared with regard to their practical applicability in the Czech environment.
Methods for liquid-gas separation
Matoušek, Jakub ; Touš, Michal (referee) ; Vondra, Marek (advisor)
This diploma thesis is devoted to the separation of liquid from gas. Functional principles and methods for the separation of droplets from the gas phase stream are presented in the introductory part. The research also lists the types of separators and mist eliminators, including their advantages and disadvantages. Cyclone separators are described in detail in the thesis in terms of the separation principle, design and factors influencing the efficiency of separation. The experimental activity took place on salt water and dealt with finding the optimal operating conditions for a cyclone with a given geometry using the method of Design of experiments (DOE). The vapor-liquid mixture generated in the evaporator entered the cyclone and the effect of salt concentration and inlet flow rate on the separation efficiency and pressure drop of the cyclone was investigated. Experimentally, the highest efficiency of 97.22% was achieved at a flow rate of 8.59 kg/h and with a salinity of water supplied to the evaporator of 14,246 µS/cm. The quality of the distilled water was therefore 5 µS/cm. Without the inclusion of a cyclone, the conductivity of the condensed steam would correspond to 175.31 µS/cm. In the final part, a proposal for modifications of the tested equipment was presented to improve the separation efficiency within the evaporator technology.

Návrh implementace metody Balanced Scorecard s využitím EFQM modelu excelence do podniku v odvětví nanotechnologie
Matoušek, Jakub
The thesis aims to propose a form of implementation of the Balanced Scorecard method to management of a company in the field of nanotechnology. In the context of implementation of the Balanced Scorecard the thesis uses analysis of corporate activities through self-assessment based on EFQM Model Excellence. Theoretical parts of the thesis focus on defining strategic and financial analysis, EFQM Model Excellence and Balanced Scorecard. Following parts of the thesis are dedicated to practical implementation of the method into a particular company in the nanotechnology sector using strategic and financial analysis tools and EFQM excellence model.

Health care provision at events organized for children
MATOUŠEK, Jakub
This bachelor thesis conducts a study of the health care provision at events organized for children. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical section. In the theoretical section the definition of childhood is introduced. The childhood is described form the preschool age of a child and for each period the most frequent diseases are referred to. Injuries and specifications of selected types of injuries are also mentioned. Finally in this section the terms such as events for children and a recreational activities medic are defined. The legislation related to organizing these events is also covered. The practical part of the thesis presents the research part. For the research part the form of quantitative research, an interviewing technique, the method of anonymous questionnaires was used. Questionnaires were distributed to organizers of 30 events for children in the district of Jinřichův Hradec. The research data were processed into charts for clarity purposes. The research objective was to monitor the health care at events for children and to determine the competence and level of medical supervision. The results have proved that the objectives have been met. For the research purposes hypotheses were stated, assuming that the care provision is sufficient for minor medical conditions treatment and medics are competent to provide quality health care at events for children. The stated hypotheses were confirmed after processing the data obtained form questionnaires. The research survey proved that at the events organized for children there are mostly minor health troubles and these conditions are adequately treated by medics present at recreational activities. Information resulting form this thesis could serve the organizers of recreational activities. It could help in choosing medics providing health care. In addition, shortcomings in the law regulating recreational events are pointed to.
