The editorial adaptations of selected fairy tales of Eliška Krásnohorská
Bartošková, Lucie ; Martínek, František (advisor) ; Adam, Robert (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to record an evolution of editing mutations as were realized in the three chosen fairytales written by Eliška Krásnohorská - O Červené karkulace, O perníkové chaloupce and Kocour v botách. The thesis is divided into two main sections - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical background, publishing and editing of fairytales (with respect to the age of a reader) written in 19th century is studied. The practical part of this thesis is focused on deviations in releases for each fairytale as were made during the decades. All changes are divided into several cathegories - spelling, phonetics, morphological changes, lexical changes, deviations in a word-order and skipped or added words in a text. All deviations are discussed and recorded in tables with respect to an evolution of independent releases for each fairytale. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

For the comparison the sample of epistolary units identical to most of the editions was chosen and from analysis between autographs and particular editorial treatments procedures of every edition were reconstructed. In the analysis the changes are evaluated according to current linguistic and orthographic codification, on the contrary, summarised principles are evaluated according to contemporary codification. Based on previous data the editions are compared afterwards. The research revealed that older editions bear only tendencies of regular corrections, while in later editions the regular corrections and editorial principles are evident. Voicing in German speakers'pronunciation of Czech
Pospíšilová, Lucie ; Machač, Pavel (advisor) ; Martínek, František (referee)
The thesis is concerned with the German speakers' pronunciation of the Czech language, specifically with the issue of the voicing of obstruents. The phonological voicing is realized differently in Czech and German and the assimilation of voicing follows diverse principles. The pronunciation is often underestimated in education. The objective of the thesis is to find out the most frequent mistakes and to propose some improvements for tuition. I have thoroughly analysed 20 read speeches made by German speakers. I have also compared course books from the point of view of pronunciation engagement. The most problematic issue appeared to be the assimilation of voicing on the boundaries of syllables and words. The main contribution of the thesis should be the summary of German speakers' pronunciation difficulties and the materials which can be used for further tuition.

Its main goal is to contribute to the scientific research of the baroque language in hymnography production and to make the songs accessible to the general public.

Karel Havlíček's German letters in Czech translations
Kukrechtová, Barbora ; Martínek, František (advisor) ; Mareš, Petr (referee)
This thesis analyzes the Czech translations of Karel Havlíček's German letters carried out by Ladislav Quis (1903) and Miroslav Novotný (1941), and the revisions made by Jaroslava Janáčková (1995) in Novotný's translation. In the introduction, the present-day situation concerning the publication of Havlíček's correspondence is outlined. A brief description of the state of the Czech language at the time of creation of Havlíček's Czech letters followes the introduction. The analysis itself focuses especially on the possible influence of the original language on the translations and the tendency to avoid such influence. Therefore, in the theoretical parts of individual chapters, some terminology regarding German grammar is explained. Language resources used by individual translators are also compared with the means common at the time of translation and in Havlíček's Czech letters to determine the extent to which the respective translations display tendency to archaize or modernize the language. The obtained data serve as a basis for determining the impression of identicity of the writer in the Czech letters and in the translations from German.
