Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment about a patient with disc herniation with L5/S1 with radiculopathy. Thesis goal: This thesis is separated into two parts. Theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part involves anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, multiple case studies, and the physiotherapist's point of view of the problems that lumbar disc herniation can cause to a patient on a daily basis. The practical part is based on anamnesis and patient concerns in addition to treating and curing the main symptoms caused by disc herniation L5/S1 with radiculopathy. Method: During 6 therapy sessions working along with my supervisor Bc. Ales Nesvadba I was applying practical and theoretical knowledge from my studies. Therapy that is applied includes breathing exercises, postural correction, soft tissue technique according to Lewit, stretching and relaxation by post isometric relaxation (PIR), ADL exercises, and strengthening technique (PNF). These techniques were used by isotonic and isometric exercises, followed by kinesiological examination and therapy results. Title: The current physiotherapeutic approaches used in therapy of patients with hemiplegic shoulder - systematic review Objective: The main objective of this diploma thesis is the evaluation of different therapeutic approaches in rehabilitation of the hemiplegic shoulder pain, based on the available resources corresponding to the established inclusion criteria. The VAS scale was used in every included study as the primary evaluating criteria. This thesis makes effort to evaluate which physiotherapeutic method is most often used and is most effective in hemiplegic shoulder pain treatment, based on modern literal resources. Methods: This diploma thesis in processed in the form of a systematic review based on available literary resources. The first part consists of the theoretical basis and the introduction into the problematic of hemiplegic shoulder pain. The second part with the descriptive - analytical character comprises the analysis of the studies, each of which examines different interventions in hemiplegic shoulder pain treatment. Title: Evaluation of dynamic postural stabilization according to the lenght of the lower limbs in road cyclists Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to compare and evaluate the level of dynamic postural stability among professional road cyclists and a healthy population without regular sports activities. Another goal is to find the relationship between anthropometric length of lower limbs and performance of professional road cyclists. Methods: Experimental group of professional road cyclists n = 34 probands (27 men and 7 women) with a mean age of 23.65 ± 3.45, no serious injuries, actively racing for at least 5 years and control group not regularly performing n = 33 probands (26 men and 7 women) 6 women) with an average age of 23.19 ± 2.00, without serious injuries from UK FTVS students. Dynamic postural stability testing took place in the kinesiology laboratory of the Department of Physiotherapy UK FTVS on the NeuroCom Smart EquiTest device. Title: Temporomandibular disorders in relation to the psychosomatic diseases Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to process the theoretical background using mainly foreign sources about the issue of the temporomandibular joint. Another goal of this thesis is to find out which psychosomatic diseases are associated with the development of temporomandibular disorders. Methods: The diploma thesis is processed in the form of a literature review using the databases PEDro, PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part summarizes the theoretical background about the issue of the temporomandibular joint. The second part has a descriptive - analytical character and contains an analysis of selected studies. Results: Based on the research, 12 studies met the selection criteria. The results of the included studies show that there is an association between the development of temporomandibular disorders and selected diseases from the category of psychosomatic diseases. Title: Influence of regularly repeated asymmetric load on the locomotor system in sweep rowers. Objectives: Aim of this diploma thesis is to compare posture, foot loading symmetries and prevalence of low back pain in a group of sweep rowers with groups of scull rowers and non-rowing probands based on the results of the pedobarographic assessment, assessment of the posture using method of moiré topography and the results obtained from the clinical assessment. Methods: Number of 21 sweep rowers, 20 scull rowers and 23 non-rowing peers were enrolled to the study of this diploma thesis. Each subject was assessed using DIERS formetic 4D and DIERS pedoscan devices. Additionally, participants in each group were assessed by FAIR test, Cluster of Laslett, triggerpoint palpation of the m. piriformis and Visual analog scale, that was used to assess intensity of pain in the lumbar region. Results: In comparison with observed scull rowers, sweep rowers showed greater rotational deviation of the trunk at the level of the L3 vertebrae and larger sway area of the COP on the left leg during quiet stance on both legs. Title: Physiotherapy of functional disorders of the orofacial area in wind instrument players Objective: The areas of interest of this diploma thesis are temporomandibular joint (TMJ), wind instrument playing and health problems affecting the orofacial area related to playing of the wind instruments. The aim of this diploma thesis was to determine the current functional state of the orofacial area in wind instrument players and to evaluate the effectiveness of the chosen type of physical therapy. Methods: This experiment-centered pilot study included a total of 21 wind instrument players aged 15-30. After taking anamnestic data, the subjects underwent kinesiological examination focused on the orofacial area. To evaluate the results, a visual analog pain scale (VAS) and examination of the active range of motion of TMJ using a millimeter ruler were used. If the proband experienced any TMJ pain, had a reduced active range of TMJ, or both of the previous, the patient was prescribed an one month autotherapy targeted on the orofacial area. The first one consists of an overview of this inherited genetic disease called Charcot-Marie-Tooth, its' discovery, the clinical picture of it, etiology, prevalence in population and currently available treatments. The second part presents the case study, with respective examinations provided, applied therapy and evaluation of results and the therapy effectiveness. Methods: All examinations and treatments are based on the knowledge I have acquired in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of Charles University. Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of Patient after reverse total shoulder arthroplasty Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is the theoretical elaboration of the issue of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty and creation of a case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient after implantation of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty including the evaluation of the effect of the therapy. Methods: The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first is the general part, in which the theoretical treatment of the topic of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty is presented by means of a literature search. The second part is the special part, in which a case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient after this procedure is presented. Thus, the second part contains the initial and final kinesiological examination, description of individual therapies, and finally the evaluation of the effect of the performed therapy. Results: The performed therapies had a positive effect on the patient's condition, which was confirmed by comparison of data from the initial and final kinesiological examination. 1 Abstract Author: Zuzana Charvátová Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with Wilson disease Objectives: Aim of the theoretical part is to summarize recent knowledge about the Wilson's disease and its possible physiotherapeutic impact. Aim of the practical part is to present the case study of the patient, who I met during my bachelor's practice in Rehabilitation Hospital of Beroun. Methods: Data for the theoretical part was obtained by systemic research of Czech and international bibliography available both in printed and electronic form. Presented case study was compiled using examining and therapeutic methods and techniques which are taught during the physiotherapy Bc. programme at FTVS UK. Results: Comparison of initial and final kinesiological examination revealed, that the physiotherapeutic treatment described in the practical part of the study contributed to the improvement of patient's condition.
