Election of the president of Czech Republic ie terms of campaign financing

The aim of the work is to determine the cost-effectiveness for the presidency under its direct election in comparison to the number of votes received and assess the extent to which individual candidates complied with during the entire electoral process, financing conditions established by law. The theoretical part defines basic terms are mentioned laws which govern the legal framework for financing elections of the president and also stated, what are the conditions for the presidential election in some European countries. The practical part describes the process and results of the presidential election in 2013, thus the first direct presidential election in the Czech Republic and their financing. In the conclusion is a comparison of the financing of individual candidates, evaluate funding system and suggestions for improvement. The finding is that the amount of expenses incurred is not in direct proportion to the number of votes received and are also the shortcomings of compliance with the legislative framework of the election process.
