Economic effectiveness of systems wiring
Jorda, Martin ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis tries to show the differences between usual obsolete indoor wiring and clas-sic indoor wiring used these days and also between this „classic“ indoor wiring and „intelligent wiring“. There is insisted on selection and optimalization of the adequate system for a concrete building and there is made a question of specifications of the user or the customer, his preferen-ces (financial, space, family etc.), disadvantages and advantages of the current system. Whereas it’s impossible to satisfy all the users in these problems by reason of diversity of the buildings (it can be a lot of variants of family houses or small apartments), the systems in this thesis are ap-plied only on the most frequent types of houses. Quite lot of firms deal in this country with indo-or wiring, the most known are ABB, ELKO EP and Moeller. Each of these firms offers different alternatives of systems. From the simplest, basic alternative, to most sophisticated „intelligent“ systems, which can care about almost everything, what is common with electrical energy. These different systems, their review, advantages and disadvantages are also presented in this work. Preliminary there is analysed the whole issue from the historical view and there is briefly explai-ned, what the system wiring is. In the next chapter there is a complex description of the actual state of known firms and systems on the present-day market in our country and in the world. The-re is also summarised the basic structure and the overall comparison of the most frequently used bus systems. In the next two chapters there are presented the main objectives of this work and the methods and procedures, how to achieve these objectives. The central part of this work is the next to last chapter, in which there are presented the different model variants of the project, applied to the real residential building - middle-sized family house. That is realized on the basis of the spe-cified requirements on the designed system. Before that there was performed the complex design of the situation scheme of all usual electrical appliances and lighting system in the house. In the end the whole work is in summary analysed, mainly in term of costs of each variant of the pro-ject. By virtue of this can the reader make a better view about the whole financial problem of the system wiring, that means, how much he has to invest in his concrete wiring. In the end of the work there is attached the detailed documentation to all alternatives of the project, such as dra-wings (complex horizontal plans) and costs budget of all used items and the wiring material.
Intelligent control of the storage water heater
Vašica, Radoslav ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Šlezingr, Jan (advisor)
The work generally deals with the possibilities of preparing hot water in household and analyzes saving posibilities. At the beginning of work the history of hot water preparation is briefly indicated. Chapter 3 deals with different ways of heating. Described in more detail electric storage heating is in chapter 4, where can be found the effect of heating to the power network, especially to the daily load diagram. The following are the information of the tariff policy, as a tool for motivation of consumers, for using the storage heating. In the next part, beginning with the fifth chapter, is written about the possibility of energy saving by means of intelligently controlled boiler. That eliminates the disadvantage of storage heating, which are the tank thermal losses. Heating is based on a certain regularity in the behaviour of the user and manages the preparation of water according to expected consumption. The sixth chapter then contains design of own algorithm for economical control of heating and also energetic and economic assessment of potential savings.
Bus wiring systems for complex building management
Mokrý, Lukáš ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
The aim of my thesis is to examine current opportunities of bus wiring systems for complex building management, mainly its power and economic evaluation. It can be simply called intelligent electrical installation. I will examine two systems from INELS and ABB company. These systems contain functional components, mainly modules and controllers. By means of other materials, I’ll create a panel. Components will be placed there and electrically connected. After this, systems will be put into operation and programmed by means of their software. The next step is measuring of quatities during the various conditions of systems and consumption, which is one of the main aims of the thesis. Two apparatuses will be used for measuring. This thesis itself will contain theoretical analysis of systems, their description, using the way of operation and main advantages and disadvantages. Single components and complete process of measuring and working in laboratory will be described. An overall evaluation and comparison of the systems from various points of view, including the price, will be put together from results.

Concrete flat slab supported by columns
Macháček, Jan ; Strnad, Jiří (referee) ; Perla, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is a structural design of a reinforced concrete point-supported slab for the second floor construction of a hospital. Software RFEM was used for modeling of internal forces, the results were verified by equivalent frame method and moment coefficient method. According to the RFEM results a tension reinforcement and slab shear reinforcement were designed. The deflection was manually calculated. Afterwards, a reinforcement drawing was made. The calculations correspond with ČSN EN 1992-1-1 a ČSN 73 1201.
Generators for renewable energy
Prokop, Jan ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of generators, which will use alternative sources of energy instead of fossil fuels. The work is focusing on mechanical energy conversion. Introductory part of the text summarizes the requirements on the generator, properties and parameters of appliances, which will be connected to the generator, and finally the selection of suitable alternative fuels. Main part describes the process of a prototype realization. Individual parts of the device have been manufactured from a simplified technical documentation and sketches in the machine shops of the Secondary School of Electrotechnical Engineering on Trnkova street, and from these parts a functional generator prototype has been assembled. This prototype consists of two separate parts: a propulsion unit and an alternator with accessories, including appliances. On this prototype an efficiency measurement has also been carried out. Furthermore, the work includes animations of device functions created in modeling program SolidWorks 2012. Prototypes are based on a known principle of a steam engine and, at the request of the above-mentioned school, have been adapter into a visual teaching aid. The advantage of those prototypes lies in their inexpensive and simple construction, which utilizes commonly available materials. The device works on maintenance-free principle, there is only the necessity of occasional greasing for a fluent running. In conclusion are briefly reviewed the investment and operating costs of the generator.
System wiring and the power balance
Horenský, Martin ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the theoretical part of the general problem of system wiring. The introductory part includes a general introduction. Gradually are described differences from classical wiring, to compare the advantages, disadvantages and cost. Shortly is described historical development from the first attempts to currently solution used by manufacturers. Subsequently used systems are divided into several groups and described. In the next chapter is performed research most famous electrical system from different manufacturers. In thesis there are described systems iNELS and Ego-n in detail. For each system are described basic functions, linking structure, used bus, the method of programming, a summary of advantages and disadvantages. In addition is made a brief description of system components. The practical part is focused on establishing own consumption of system wiring components in the model family home. Calculations and measurements are performed for three systems - iNELS, Ego-n and KNX. First, there are designed requirements that should meet the installation. Based on the requirements is created list of components of the systems installed - for each installation according to appropriate system.. From technical catalogs are designed theoretical input powers of each installation. The following is a test procedure for measuring educational panels. Results of measurements are processed and compared with catalog data for each component. In addition input powers are calculated from individual installation measured values. Results obtained from the measured and theoretical data are compared. From the each calculated power consumption is determined annual payment for consumption the system wiring. For each measurement system are recorded and reported data transfers through the bus. A complete evaluation of the results is shown in conclusion.
The use of advanced composite materials for the design of concrete structures
Macháček, Jan ; Matušíková, Anna (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of concrete structures reinforced by FRP according to ACI, fib, CSA and EC2 regulations, which are stressed by a shear force. The diferences between steel rebar and FRP reinforcement were described, in particular its mechanical degradation over time and a different stress-strain diagram. Furthermore, shear capacity calculations were performed according to the regulations and compared with the real tests. Then the parametric analysis of shear strength was performed. In the practical part, the design of concrete floor slab structure supported by the pillars and walls was performed. The upper reinforcement of this slab was designed with FRP and the lower with steel rebar. Double-headed studs were used as a punching shear reinforcement.
