Autor: Martina Moravcová Institution: Charles University in Prague Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove, Department of Social Medicine, Division of Nursing Title: The impact of myocardial infarction on the patient's lifestyles Supervisor: doc. MUDr. Lenka Hodačová, Ph.D. Number of pages: 93 Number of attachments: 2 Year of defense: 2020 Keywords: myocardial infarction, prevention, risk factors The bachelor's thesis deals with the question of what effect the myocardial infarction had on the patient life style. This work is divided into two parts theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part i describe the anatomy of the heart. The work also contains information about the myocardial infarction, its causes, clinical picture, diagnosis, treatment and complications. We also deal whit risk factor of myocardial infarction and their prevention. The empirical part deals with the resulst of a questionnare survey of patient after myocardial infarction. The aim of my work is to find out whether myocardial infarction has affected the pationt's lifestyle and whether patients knos the risk factors of myocardial infarctiont they may affect themselves.
Softwarová predikce neuropeptidů v nemodelových organismech
MORAVCOVÁ, Martina
The bachelor thesis deals with methods by which neuropeptides can be identified. The aim of this work is to write a script that would facilitate searching of candidate sequences suitable for prediction of neuropeptides and allow to work with larger input data.
Comparison of two analysers of respiratory gases by paired examination of the same persons
Moravcová, Martina ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Majorová, Simona (referee)
Title: Comparison of two analysers of respiratory gases by paired examination of the same persons. Resource: The basic assumption of laboratory measurements is precision of devices. The aim of this study was to determine if the values of spiroergometric parameters measured at the same load on the same subjects by two different devices are comparable. We compared the respiratory gas analyzer Kardiospirox (Junkalor, CR) and Oxycon Delta (Jaeger, Germany). Methods: We studied 11 subjects on both devices on the same day. The intensity and duration of load were chosen to be repeatable in the same quality after a short rest. We measured the basic spiroerometric parameters at rest, during exercise 20W, 50W, 100W and 150W for men and at rest, during exercise 20W, 40W, 80W and 120W for women, always at steady state. For statistical comparison method we used Student's paired T test. Results: Heart rate (HR), oxygen consumption (VO2.kg-1 ), ventilatory equivalent (VE/VO2), breathing frequency (DF), respiratory exchange ratio (RER) did not differ significantly. Pulmonary ventilation (VE) and expired carbon dioxide (VCO2.kg-1 ) were significantly different. The reason could be that the sensor for ventilation of Oxycon works with inhaled and exhaled air while Kardiospirox works with just exhaled air....
Adipokinetic hormones and the energetic metabolism in the spruce bark beetle (\kur{Ips typographus} L.)
MORAVCOVÁ, Martina
The aim of the thesis was to elucidate the occurrence of adipokinetic hormones in the spruce bark beetle (Ips typographus) by competitive ELISA and LC/MS analysis. Total lipid and carbohydrate content as well as levels of glucose, trehalose and glycogen were measured to characterize physiological changes during particular phases of the life cycle.
Does Foreign Direct Investment Affect Labour Productivity in the Automotive Industry? The Czech Republic Case Study
Moravcová, Martina ; Janíčko, Martin (advisor) ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to show effects of foreign direct investment on labour productivity in Czech automotive sector in the period 2004-2009. The effects are measured through horizontal spillovers (technology transfer) representing the influence of foreign firm on Czech automotive sector and through Herfindahl index representing market concentration in the automotive sector. Based on models used in this thesis I have found out that between labour productivity and technology transfer of foreign firms in the automotive sector is not significant relationship, but labour productivity is positively and significantly influenced by market concentration in the sector. These findings do not correspond fully to widespread opinion that foreign direct investments enhance labour productivity of domestic firms by bringing new knowledge or technology. These findings correspond only to the hypothesis that higher concentration of the sector caused by foreign presence positively influence labour productivity.
Seasonal changes of adipokinetic hormone in spruce bark beetle \kur{(Ips typographus} L.)
MORAVCOVÁ, Martina
The aim of the thesis was to analyze and to quantify the adipokinetic hormones (AKHs) of the spruce bark beetle Ips typographus. The RP HPLC was employed for the AKHs identification, and a competitive ELISA for their quantification. Those methods indicated that the Peram-CAH-I and Peram-CAH-II could be the AKH representatives, and that their levels fluctuate during a year. The results also suggested that the hormones might substitute themselves within certain periods of the year.
