Evaluation of beetroot qualitative parameters
MIKEŠOVÁ, Mariana
The thesis si lead to evaluate volume of betalain pigments and analyze antio-xidant activity in selected species of beetroot. The thesis is sorted to several chapters . The first chapter discusses about history, individual species of beetroot and general properties. There are information about antioxidant activity and pigments, which is occure in beetroot in the next. The second part of the thesis is focused on analyze the betalain pigments and evaluate antioxidant activity. It leads to resume, that beetroots with red-violet color are more rich about antioxidant substances. Examination of the individual colours for the selected varieties revealed that the 'Redshine' varieties were mainly rich in beta-cyans and betaxantines. "Monorubra." The highest content of these dyes are the varieties which have the colour of the pulp red to dofia-lova. Their values were significantly higher than those of the 'Boldor F1' variety, which would have been expected to have a higher betaxantine content than the red-coloured varieties
Foliar apllication of auxiliary plant preparations in fodder beet
MIKEŠOVÁ, Mariana
The content of the bachelor thesis was the evaluation of the use of auxiliary herbal preparations in the cultivation of fodder beet. The attempt was focused on monitoring how it may happen that it is stressed during vegetation after the application of plant aids such as stress such as deficiency. In the small-plot experiment, the production ability of selected varieties of Hako and Record Poly fodder beet with the application of auxiliary herbal preparations was monitored. The aim of the experiment was to evaluate the reaction of selected varieties of fodder beet to foliar application of auxiliary preparations. The advantage of foliar application of auxiliary plant preparations is the speed and efficiency of action when combined with other interventions (together with fertilization) as well as their application economics. Three variants were chosen in the small-plot experiment - 1.varian without application of auxiliary herbal preparations, 2. variant of application of Albit. 3rd variant of Fulhum. The preparations were applied twice during the vegetation. The yield of beef was evaluated. Variants with the application of auxiliary herbal preparations Albit and Fulhum showed a positive effect on the growth of beech yield in the one-year trial. The result of the one-year trial proved that plant auxiliaries can be a cheap and economical measure to reduce the effects of drought stress with a positive effect on the growth of beef yields when fodder beet is grown.
