Molecular ecology of cryptic species of the fen moss Hamatocaulis vernicosus.
MANUKJANOVÁ, Alžběta
This dissertation thesis aims at cryptic species of a rare fen moss Hamatocaulis vernicosus. It covers their distribution in the Czech Republic, potential morphological differences, sex ratio in populations and their genetic diversity.
Expressed sex ratio in populations of the moss Hamatocaulis vernicosus (Scorpidiaceae) in the Czech Republic with consideration of its cryptic species.
MANUKJANOVÁ, Alžběta
This thesis aims at sex expression and sex ratio in cryptic species of a rare fen moss Hamatocaulis vernicosus. The sex expression and expressed sex ratio were compared at various hierarchical levels. Additionally, micromaps of expressed sex ratio in patches at 21 localities, including 5 localities where both clades co-occur have been created.
Competitive and regeneration abilities of the moss \kur{Hamatocaulis vernicosus} (Calliergonaceae)
MANUKJANOVÁ, Alžběta
Competitive and regeneration abilities of the rare moss Hamatocaulis vernicosus were studied in the field and in the common garden experiments. A transplatation experiment was carried out to study whether replacement of H. vernicosus into its potential competitive mosses, Calliergonella cuspidata and Sphagnum fallax, will effect the growth. The growth of H. vernicosus was not effected amidst C. cuspidata; however there was a significant decrease of biomass production amidst S. fallax. The second experiment compared regeneration of H. vernicosus and C. cuspidata from different parts of the stems. C. cuspidata regenerated better and it was able to produce new shoots even from leaves, while H. vernicosus regenerated only from larger parts of stems.
