Social aspects of mental retardation

The bachelor work is concentrated on the problems of the incorporating the individuals which suffer the mental retardation into the society. Theoretical part consists of explaining some terms like mental retardation, classifiacation of mental retardation and brief definition of each step. Further research included in my work describes social aspects of the mental retardation, especially I describe the socialization of an individual with mental retardation which is living in the family and in the institutional care. It presents also the new forms of care of the individual with the mental retardation and evaluates possibilities usage. The practical part of my work includes two case studies, in which it is described and subsequently it is compared development of individuals with mental retardation growing up in different environments of family and institutional care.
