Selected optimization models in logistics
Málek, Martin ; Pavlas, Martin (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on optimization models in logistics, which are solved by linear programming. Theoretical part introduces basic terms of graph theory, optimization, linear programming and network flows. Practical part contains mathematical models, their implementation, and obtained results. Furthermore, real-world application is solved at the end.
Stochastic Optimization of Network Flows
Málek, Martin ; Holešovský, Jan (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
Magisterská práce se zabývá stochastickou optimalizací síťových úloh. Teoretická část pokrývá tři témata - teorii grafů, optimalizaci a progressive hedging algoritmus.

Application of Risk Management Methods on Decision Making Process regarding company ComAp entering hybrid systems market
Král, Lukáš ; Hrůzová, Helena (advisor) ; Málek, Martin (referee)
Decision making is one of the primary management activities, sometimes even referred to as the core of management. In order to survive in today's turbulent and competitive environment, the company places even greater demands on managers who control the firm through their decisions. Practice shows that the risk during their decisions is often underestimated, in many cases even ignored, threatening the business prosperity of companies. Such an unfavourable situation was the main reason why the author of this work decided to apply risk management methods for solving a decision problem in practice. For this purpose, author cooperated with company called ComAp, which is nowadays considering expanding its focus and eventually enter into new markets. The aim of this study is to assess the possibility of ComAp entering the market of hybrid systems and by using the methods of risk management to recommend a suitable alternative. Another objective of this work is to evaluate the contribution of the Monte Carlo method for solving the problem possible usage of this tool in ComAp in future.
Perfomance Valuation of Subsidiaries
Fraňková, Zuzana ; Scholleová, Hana (advisor) ; Málek, Martin (referee)
The aim of this master's thesis is to design methodics for measuring contribution of subsidiaries on economic value added EVA. The next objective is a design of reporting of subsidiaries. The report is in the form of a dashboard to the Chief Financial Officer. The dashboard consists of Financial Performance Indicators FPIs and Key Performance Indicators KPIs. The company efficiency and its evaluation
MÁLEK, Martin
The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the efficiency of the selected company in the period of five years. Business efficiency is evaluated by using absolute indicators, ratio indicators, bankruptcy and credibility models and pyramid decomposition. The theoretical part describes the specific evaluation methods and practical part already contains the actual calculation and evaluation the efficiency of the chosen company. In the final evaluation there are summarized results of analysis and proposals for action.
Comparison of vompetences of Supreme Audit Institutions in EU Countries
Málek, Martin ; Pavel, Jan (advisor) ; Vítek, Leoš (referee)
