The status and role of women in early christian communities as a paradigm for today
Kožená, Eva ; Lukeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Bravená, Noemi (referee)
1 Abstract This thesis analyses the status and role of women in early Christian communities through the prism of Old Testament, New Testament texts, ancient novels, and apocryphal acts. The thesis uses comparative literary analysis to examine how women were portrayed in religious texts and what roles were assigned to them in the context of the social, religious, and political structures of the time. The aim of the thesis is to reveal how religious texts influenced the perception of women and what impact these stories, literary genres, and characters had on the actual position of women in society. The research highlights the differences between the portrayal of women in the Gospels and the apocryphal texts, emphasizing the polyvalence of the texts and the different interpretations of female characters in different cultural and historical contexts. The findings show that although women were often portrayed in subordinate or passive roles, there are significant examples where women took on active and leadership roles, suggesting more complex social dynamics than traditionally presented. The thesis also highlights the importance of intertextuality and lite-rational techniques in understanding historical texts. This work contributes to a better understanding of the social and religious aspects of early...

Evolution of genome size in streptophyte algae genus Zygnema and its ecological consequences
Lukeš, Jiří ; Čertnerová, Dora (advisor) ; Lučanová, Magdalena (referee)
Genome size is a trait that varies 64,000 × across eukaryotic diversity. However, this variability has nothing to do with the complexity of organisms. The amount of DNA itself is however related to a number of phenotypic traits of organisms. Specifically, studies conducted on plants look for possible connections between genome size and the ecological requirements of individual species. Similar studies in microscopic algae are not abundant and often face a number of methodological problems. This thesis presents genome size data obtained by flow cytometry for 129 representatives of the genus Zygnema belonging to 68 evolutionary lineages. Measurements revealed a genome size range within this genus from 0.22 to 5.06 pg. At the same time, several lines showing considerable variability in genome size were described, which in many cases indicates possible polyploidization in this genus. The identification of an identical GC base pair ratio in selected putative polyploid and monoploid representatives supported the hypothesis of polyploidization. The general correlation of cell size and genome size within this group was also validated. Due to the known phylogenetic relationships between the measured lineages, the genome size evolution in the genus Zygnema was reconstructed. Further, possible relationships...
Mt 21.1-9 pericope exegesis using intertextual perspective and reception theory
Konupková, Kateřina ; Lukeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Beneš, Jiří (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of intertextuality in the context of biblical studies, specifically focusing on the exegesis of the passage Matthew 21:1-9. It consists of two main parts. The first part describes the term "intertextuality" itself, its origin, various interpretations by different authors, and its application in biblical studies. The issue of intertextuality is comparatively demonstrated using the presented types of intertextuality and their intricacies. Chapters 1 and 2 cover this part. The second part focuses on a specific exegesis of Matthew's passage 21:1-9. This part is described in Chapter 3. Through biblical exegesis, the intertextual relationships between the Old and New Testaments are outlined, utilizing specific biblical passages for this ad hoc purpose. My intention is to demonstrate through the interpretation of these biblical passages how the author of the Gospel of Matthew attempts to convince his readers about Jesus's messianism in a particular manner, employing afformentioned intertextual methods.
The message and life of Jesus Christ - pedagogic preparation of curriculum according to Bavarian Lehrnplan for religion classes of German high schools
Mlátilíková, Eva ; Lukeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Fajfr, Marek (referee)
In thesis "The message and life of Jesus Christ - pedagogic preparation of curriculum according to Bavarian Lehrnplan for religion classes of German high schools" I've delft into exegesis of selected themes from the New Testament theology. When working with the New Testament, I baist my research according to handling of text named "Kulturwisssenshaft", which was developed by prof. dr. Sandra Huebenthal of Passau University. I chose this method because I had the opportunity to attend course by prof. dr. Heubenthal, which dealt with these aforementioned method. For each subject I prepared pedagogical materials for religion classes. I thought about how would I approach teaching these subjects. I chose such teaching methods with which I have personal experience from using them in practice.
