Influence of Feuerstein's instrumental enrichment method on vocabulary development in primary school age children

This bachelor theses primarili focuses on influence of Feuerstein instrumental enrichment program (FIE) to development of vocabulary of younger school age children. Another matter of interest is influence of FIE to expressive abilities, getting better in task solving strategies, vizuomotor coordination abilities and getting better in working and short- term memory in younger school age children and also individual improvement of children who attended FIE course. The aim of academic work is to track changes within these areas, primary in vocabulary, of children, which attended FIE like afternoon freetime activity. Theoretical part includes informations about younger school age children, FIE itself, dynamic diagnosis and origins of Feuerstein's work. Analitical part includes metodology of research, which has been done like a hybrid of quantitative and qualitative type of research. In quantitative part, we used test of Word definitions from CELF-V, Repeating numbers from WISC-IV and Rey-Ostterieth complex figure, therefore in qualitative part we used primarili observation. It is emphasized on the relation web in The School Counselling Department where is psychologist also included. The bachelor thesis is devoted to the problem of school psychology. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out how the mental hygiene care in the profession of school psychologist looks and to map the factors influencing the given care process. The issue is examined in relation to the stressful situations that are perceived by the psychologists and in the context of the approach and view of the school management on the given issue. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part serves to introduce the topic and mediates insights from the literature on the given topic. It characterizes school psychology as a discipline, describes the specifics of the school psychologist's activities, the content of his work, the clientele and the pitfalls that may arise during its execution. It also deals with the stress and possibilities of psychohygiene in helping professions. Dynamic assessment in practice of school psychologist

This bachelor thesis introduce dynamic assessment as an approach, which could be part of the practice of a school psychologist, and tries to figure out, whether, and to what extent is this method applied to school psychologists' everyday job. The data was collected and analyzed through the method of qualitative research from semi-structured interviews with seven school psychologists. The results of the research imply that school psychologists do utilize principals of dynamic assessment to a certain extent, but in majority they don't use it systematically. This resume is in agreement with the research, which was carried out under the project RAMPS-VIP III. In the resume, the author comes with the hypothesis that it might be useful if school psychologists learnt more about this method already during their studies - particularly those of them who potentially aspire for a career in schooling or counseling. Efficiency of the Cognitive Training Program Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment for People with Parkinson's Disease

The objective of the study was to assess the effectiveness of the Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment training (FIE) in respondents with Parkinson's disease (PD) in comparison with another type of cognitive training. The specific aim of the study was to verify whether there were differences between the effectiveness of the FIE and the training of the individual cognitive domains for cognitive functions in respondents with PD. The study included patients with PD who underwent an examination by a neuropsychological battery before the beginning of the training in order to evaluate the level of cognitive functions. Based on the demographic characteristics and the overall score in the Mattis Dementia Rating Scale-II (DRS-II), the respondents (n = 24) were randomly divided into two research groups. The experimental group (EXP) trained using the FIE method for 60 minutes once a week during three months. The control group (CON) trained the individual cognitive domains. After the cognitive training the respondents were examined again in order to detect changes of the level of each one of the cognitive functions. Pupils in institutional care from the perspective of a school psychologist

This thesis deals with the topic of students living at a children's home from the perspective of the school psychologist. The thesis describes, how school psychologists are approaching pupils from children's home and what specific requirements are essential for the job of the school psychologist when working with this particular group of students. Theoretic part focuses on declaring elementary activities of the school psychologist at the school and explains the advantages and possible obstacles of the psychologist job. Next part focuses on pupils from children's home and the topic of institutional care. Empiric part points at performing research including results and discussion. The research was completed with the assistance of the school psychologists using the interviews. Gained data from the interviews were analyzed based on the opened encoding and then presented by using a technique unloading card. The influence of Reuven Feuerstein ́s method on elementary school teacher didactics

This diploma thesis deals with influence of Feuerstein's method of Instrumental Enrichment on didactics of elementary school teacher. The Instrumental Enrichment method is a very sophisticated strategy for developing individual cognitive structures. A person who helps develop cognitive structures acts as a mediator. These mediators are most often parents or teachers. So, according to Feuerstein, the teacher is not merely a knowledge builder, but he tries to develop his / her thinking and teaching potential. The aim of my work is to deepen the general knowledge of the influence of this method on teachers' didactics from the perspective of those teachers who work with it. To clarify in which areas didactics teachers perceive the impact of this method and how concrete changes are reflected. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the author of the method, Professor Reuven Feuerstein, and the theoretical starting points from which his method is based. In addition, Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment Program is introduced, which is an application of mediated learning to pedagogical practice. It further defines the concept of didactics. Influence of Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment on people after traumatic brain injury

The aim of this final thesis is to apply Feuerstein's instrumental enrichment program (FIE) to a person with traumatic brain injury (TBI). The theoretical part deals with the problematic of traumatic brain injury and Feuerstein's approach to the development of cognitive functions. The empirical part focuse on qualitative research to find out whether there has been an improvement in cognitive functions with three respondents with TBI after five months of intervention using the FIE program, or not. Respondents are young men aged between 23 and 32, about 10 years after the accident, who regularly rehabilitate and undergo reeducation at the Jedlička Institute and Schools (JÚŠ). The aim of the research is to compare whether the influence of the FIE program has improved cognitive functions. The comparison is achieved by objective assessment of cognitive functions using Klecanská opakovatelná neuropsychologická baterie (KONB; Klecany Repeatable Neuropsychological Battery). The results of the research are presented in structured case studies.
