Headteacher Competences within an Educational Institution

Most kindergartens are managed by a headmaster/ headmistress and their deputies (depending on the size of the kindergarten). There are some kindergartens which fall within the management of a primary, or even secondary school in the particular municipality, and the function of the headmaster/headmistress is taken over by the primary/secondary school principal. If that is the case, the kindergarten headteacher position is introduced, who is not a deputy but is in charge of the kindergarten and responsible to the principal. In this thesis, my concern are the competencies of a kindergarten headteacher as an educational institution leader. In the theoretical section, I focus on the headteacher position, what group management and control, documentation and material sourcing concerns in such a position; what determines the working hours, and the measure of participation in the organisation management. Furthermore, key competencies are described, and headteacher professional competencies are identified in detail: what kindergarten management deals with, what to imagine under the term educational process, and what the responsibilities are. Bullying in schools through the eyes of school principals

The diploma thesis deals with bullying and conflicts in the school environment, specifically in the environment of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and how the principals of these schools view bullying. Bullying in the school environment is a frequently discussed phenomenon and a problem that needs to be addressed, hence it was chosen as a current topic for this thesis. The theoretical part describes the knowledge about conflicts and bullying - definitions of conflict and bullying, classification, manifestations and causes, methods of solution and prevention, as well as history. The empirical part deals with in depth interviews with school principals, who answer questions about bullying at their school as part of qualitative research. The possible occurrence of bullying and conflicts, the awareness and experience of school principals, as well as their views on bullying and conflicts in education are identified. Furthermore, the methods of prevention and solutions that the school chooses are found out. The work is based on methodological approaches of grounded theory. Marketing tactics of a selected language school

This diploma thesis investigates the marketing tactics of a selected language school while focusing on all elements of the marketing mix and their practical application. It identifies the key areas for its prosperity and future development based on selected qualitative research methods, such as analysis of the school's marketing activity and structured interview with its management and internal staff. It involves a partial comparison with the competitor educational institutions of a similar field of interest and besides its strengths and competitive advantages it also reveals its drawbacks using the SWOT analysis in terms of which it suggests recommendations for innovations. The theoretical part deals with the general issue of marketing and content of the marketing strategy while highlighting the importance of strategic planning of marketing goals as well as effective strategic marketing management. It provides a detailed view on the field of marketing tactics and its main part, i.e. basic and extended marketing mix with its particular marketing tools, in general as well as from the specific point of view of education. The diploma thesis on The issue of home office in the selected company in terms of the advantages and the disadvantages working from home aims to analyze and identify the advantages and the disadvantages of home office and propose a suitable procedure for motivating employees to use home office in a selected organization. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on the study of literature and other available sources and summarizes the basic concepts and knowledge in this area. It defines the concept of personnel management and focuses on the development stages of the managerial approach to personnel, introduces and describes flexible forms of employment, characterizes and defines the concept of home office and gets acquainted with the current legislation on work outside the workplace in the Czech Republic.
