Christmas dramas for children and teenagers in ČCE

The purpose of my diploma thesis Christmas dramas for children and teenagers in ČCE is to find out if authors of Christmas dramas in ČCE work with them as valid parts of catechetical work with children and teenagers. I decided to make analysis of some texts of Christmas theater plays, which are freely distributed in the church. First chapter tries to analyze how children relate to the work on a drama and what are the benefits of this work. Second chapter deals with theory of writing dramas for children and teenagers. Chapter three deals with analysis of two biblical texts Matt 1:18-2:23 and Luke 1:5-2:40 because they are often used as a source for Christmas dramas. Chapter four deals with analysis of three Christmas plays written by members of ČCE for congregations of ČCE. The emphasis is mainly on theological and pedagogical analysis. The conclusion of my analysis is that authors of Christmas dramas in ČCE do not work with them as valid parts of catechetical work. Celebration of the Lord's Supper with children. Theological assumptions and current practice in Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. Summary This thesis researches the presence and participation of children at the Lord's Supper. The main aim of the thesis was to research whether also today it is possible to find understanding for the reception of children around the Lord's Table in Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. First of all it was the issue, whether the participation of children at the Lord's Supper is sufficiently accepted in the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. The first part is focused on the historical and theological background of the Lord's Supper, on the practice in the Old Testament and Apostolic times. This chapter deals with the question: What is the Lord's Supper and what is its meaning? The second part is devoted to the issue of children and their participation in the Lord's Supper. It focuses on the period from the Early Church through the Middle Ages to the Czech and World Reformation. Different views of churches in the Czech Republic are described in the third part of the thesis. I focus here mainly on their current practice. Observance of the Lord's Supper in Pentecostal Churches

This thesis, entitled "Observance of the Lord's Supper in Pentecostal Churches" attempts to introduce the observance of the Lord's Supper in the Apostolic Church, including its pastoral aspects. Included in this is an outlined discussion on the same theme. The first part of the work introduces characteristics of the Pentecostal Movement in general, and then its representative in the Czech Republic, the Apostolic Church, in the context of its historical- theological development. The second part adds some historical moments of the remembrance of the Lord's Supper in this context. The subsequent discussion then more closely examines the understanding of the ceremony of the Lord's Supper in the Pentecostal environment, especially within the Apostolic Church. The third part discloses the specific practice of the Lord's Supper in the churches of the Apostolic Church. This comes from foundational documents of the Church and survey-based research. The final part discusses the pastoral aspects of the Lord's Supper, working from information attained from the surveys, life experiences and finally from selected sermons related to the remembrance of the Lord's Supper.
The Confession in the Protestantism and its Historical Transformations

anglicky Annotation In my thesis I deal with the Confession in European nad especially Czech Protestantism, its conception, form and transformations in history. The focus of my work is to look at the Confession in the Reformation and its further development. The work is divided into four major chapters: (1) The Confession, (2) The Confession and reformers, (3) The Cofession and reformist religions, (4) The Confession of contemporary Protestantism. Each of these chapters is further divided into subsections. In conclusion I describe the effort to reintroduce private Confession as solid form of church life and I think about reasons why nowadays in Protestant churches private Confession used only sporadically. The second part is about principles of goals and methods ih his didactical works. The final part of my theses compares his methods with present practice of ethical education and underlines the significance of Comenius` conection of morality with cognitive learning and religiousness. Religion in textbooks for the second-grade elementary schools

1 Summary Religion in textbooks for the second-grade elementary schools. Recently, there has been an increasing level of discussion about religion in the public space. Nonetheless, uneducated opinions are often being used. In my work, I focused on what kind of information are being passed onto pupils of primary schools, regardless of the interest of particular teacher. In the first part of my thesis, I compare basic curriculum documents (so called Whitepaper and Framework Education Program) and individual educational areas. In second part, I work with specific books of selected subjects (history, civics, ethics) that have been authorized by the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports (MEYS). I pay particular attention to how frequently, to what extent and in what context do they referrer about religion (including list of reported religions). Afterwards, I evaluate, whether they take evaluated stands, alternatively whether they encourage pupils to be interested in this area and finally whether they develop pupils' ability to look up relevant information on that subject. The Parents of Children with Disabilities in Pastoral Care

This thesis aims to ascertain how worship how pastoral care in the evangelical tradition can support the parents of children with disabilities. The objective of contributing to this area of pastoral care is achieved in tree steps. The first step examines the period context of changes towards disability in theology church practices and society, and deals with the subject of the approach towards people with disabilities and their care. The second step, using literature, stories and research obtains the information for the pastoral care during worship, when it elucidates hoe parent who have children with disability experience the situation. The third step shows how individual parts of worship - the world and sacrament, prayer, songs and koinonia - can be modified so that they mesh with the matters of pastoral care - with the needs of parents of children with disabilities. This step includes recommendations for theology and church practices.
Problem of Preparation for Baptism

The aim of this thesis is to collect, sort and describe the information about how to prepare for baptism. Another aim of the work is find a possible offer for the formation model of preparation for baptism currently, applicable to all can-didates for baptism. In the first part of this thesis are Described the various themes of baptism. Further is Described difference between the baptism of child and adult baptism. In this thesis is not omitted the question of baptism in Christ and baptism in the church. Chapter of the history tries to reflect the preparation for baptism in other periods of Christian history and consider the question preparation for baptism and her hints from the perspective of the New Testament. The Acquired information and experience I have tried to hint of this, why is it nowadays essential to direct the preparation for baptism to be discussed on the basis of preparation for baptism of children and adults. At the end was an at-tempt to presentation of several real practices in preparation for baptism from the selected preachers. The Eucharistic Prayer and its Reintroduction in Contemporary Reformed Churches

This diploma thesis, entitled "Eucharistic prayer and its reintroduction in contemporary Reformed churches," deals with the historical development and present form of Eucharistic prayer, as well as the possibilities of its application in liturgical orders to the Lord's Supper in the Reformed churches. The aim of the work is to explore the essence of the liturgical and theological contribution of the Eucharistic prayer for the eucharistic liturgy of the Reformed churches. The work consists of six chapters. At first, deals with the Eucharistic prayer as one of the possible elements of the liturgical renewal of the Lord's Supper in Protestant churches, whose liturgical orders do not include the Eucharistic prayer owing to historical development. It also discusses the historical development of the Eucharistic prayer from its Jewish roots, through the emergence of the Roman canon to its removal by the reformers from the liturgy of the Lord's Supper. The work also focuses on the comparison of two particular Reformed churches, the Reformed Church in America and the Reformed Christian Church in Slovakia, on their approach to the use of Eucharistic prayer and on the reflection of the contribution of Eucharistic prayer to the liturgical orders of the Reformed churches in general.

Master's thesis called Spirituality of Faithful Women in Pregnancy and after the Birth focuses on meaning of spirituality, expressing of spirituality and possible transformation of women's spirituality in pregnancy and after the birth. The thesis is divided into theoretical and research part. The theoretical part contains three chapters. The aim of the first chapter is to define the term of spirituality. It deals with spirituality as a dimension of personality, and spirituality as a need. This part also presents the seven dimensions of Christian spirituality, spirituality of women and the spirituality of motherhood. The second chapter describes the term of pregnancy, childbirth and the period after the birth from the perspective of a holistic approach. The third chapter focuses on spirituality in pregnancy and after the birth. This part contains biblical-theological perspective of pregnancy and childbirth and includes the Roman Catholic Church point of view. The research part of the thesis uses a qualitative social science approach with biographical research design. The goal is to find out the meaning of spirituality in pregnancy and after the birth for women of the Roman Catholic Church, and to find out, how the spirituality is changed and how it is manifested.
