Employment of people with visual impairment

The thesis deals with employing visually impaired people and support for their employability in the labour market. The purpose of the work is to explain the issues connected with the employment, its possibilities and ways of support in this area aimed at visually impaired people. The empirical part is based on the assessment of conditions of participation of visually impaired people in retraining courses organised by Dědina Residential Physiotherapy and Retraining Centre for Visually Impaired People. Its verification was performed using the following methods: analysis of the specialist literature, interviews, analysis of the interviews, observation and interviews with the specialist staff. The research showed that retraining courses organised by Dědina Residential Physiotherapy and Retraining Centre for Visually Impaired People are an important means of support for employment of visually impaired people from all over the country. The established facts show that retraining of any specialisation is necessary in order to enable the target group to find a suitable job. Speech Therapy Provision for Seniors at Residential Care

The topic of this diploma thesis is speech therapy provision for seniors at residential care. The thesis consists of four chapters, three of which are theoretical, the fourth chapter is practical. The first chapter describes the old age, it presents basic terminology and it characterises the old age from the point of view of physical, mental and social development. The second chapter is concentrated on the issue of neurological speech and language disorders, their etiology, symptomatology, diagnostics and therapy. The third theoretical chapter describes the system of health and social care of seniors in the Czech Republic with an accent on the system of speech therapy intervention within the resorts of health care and social care. The fourth chapter is the research one. It is developed as a quantitative descriptive research, using the technique of a questionnaire sent to nursing homes for seniors in the Czech Republic. The research is completed by qualitative analysis of dialogues with speech therapists that provide speech therapy at nursing homes for seniors. Independent movements as a tool for improving lives of people with severe visual impairments

This dissertation thesis focuses on life quality of visually impaired people. The aim is to give an answer to a research question which was: How an indepedent, unsupported movement activity influences the quality of life of visually impaired people. Research that is bases on defition of the basic theoretical concepts and attitudes including its terminology is realized in form of the analysis of available sources and in form of the regulated, controlled interviews. This thesis identifies the aspects of life improvement as a result of independent activity and of training of spatial orientation as well as the determinants that set and specify the extent and the degree of this improvement in the individual cases. Although nowadays, the situation and the visually impaired people s lives are being improved, it is necessary to continue this trend and to come nearer the vision of new coming inclusion. Person with visual impairment in the labor market and its socialization

The thesis focuses on the issue of person with visual impairment in the labor market and role of employment in the process of socialization of person with visual impairment. The thesis is divided into free chapters. The first chapter is devoted to characteristics of socialization, a description of development in adolescence and adulthood and socialization of visually impaired persons. The second chapter is devoted to education and employment persons with visual disabilities. The third charter comprises research part. The reseacrh part of the thesis contains description of the qualitative approach , brief characteristics of respondents and using analysis of interviews detect problem areas in employment of persons with visual disabilities. The thesis aims to map the difficulties, which the person with visual disabilities may encounter as a job applicant and describe the difficulties, which his or her may encounter in employment. It is also examinated, what is the role of employment in social life of person with visual impairment. Special educational support for pupils with visual impairment in English language teaching in primary schools

The research work describes the realization of special educational support for pupils with visual impairment (VI) in English language teaching in primary mainstream schools and describe the most common problems that occurs during the lessons. The reserch explores the use of didactic and technical assistive devices teachers and students, enrichment and analyzes the most frequently selected pedagogical approaches and methods of work. The students and teachers evaluate each language area under the expected outputs FEP (Valid for the school year 2012/2013). The target group are students with VI basic mainstream schools and their teachers. Recent studies exp. of special education centers describe and propose how to educate pupils with SEN, specifies the methods, procedures, forms and work with the pupils. To achieve the research objectives, the following procedures : a critical analysis of literature, questionnaires for teachers and pupils, comparing the outputs of the survey group of teachers - students. The research included 50 students with VI integrated in primary schools in the Czech and 47 teachers. Research only partially confirmed the hypothesis that students with VI harder to cope with the English language than students intact. ABSTRACT This bachelor thesis deals with the eating habits of women aged 40 and 60 years in the Karlovy Vary region. These eating habits are put in relation to the subject group's current feelings about existing health problems. The theoretical part aims to describe the basics of health food in relation both to the women in the chosen age groups and to the most frequent health problems. Additionally, preventive measures of health problems are stated in terms of health food, eating habits and movement activities. In the practical part, a questionnaire survey and its results are presented. The questionnaire was designed in order to chart the eating habits and health problems of randomly chosen women aged 40 to 60 years. Subsequently, the analytical part aims to provide the possible relation between eating habits and health problems within the respondents. As a follow-up to the results of the questionnaire analysis, suggestions leading to improved health awareness are made.
