Narrow-Gauge Railway Line Jindřichův Hradec - Nová Bystřice in the Landscape of Jindřichohradecko

The subject of this thesis is construction of the narrow gauge in district Jindřichův Hradec, specifically line J.Hradec-N.Bystřice, and its impact on near landscape.
In the first part I specify by using literary sources the period during which the railways were built, the importance of these buildings and the history of narrow-gauge tracks. Next point is the analysis of concrete railroad J.Hradec-N.Bystřice, its history and influence of the surrounding originally agrarian landscape. These theoretical information along with detailed field survey and photohraphs are then used in the practical part in which the track is divided and mapped by individual sections.

A Common European Energy Policy: Perspectives and Limits of Cooperation

A Common European Energy Policy: Perspectives and Limits of Cooperation ABSTRACT (Jiří Kupka) The aim of the work is to assess the prospects and limits of cooperation in the area of European Union Energy Policy and it primarily from the perspective of the Member States. To this purpose, there is a research of an evolution of integration in the energy field (pointed contemporary development - i.e. mainly the last twelve years), approach of the European Commission and in particular there are attitudes and the energy policies of the two EU Member States - France and Germany. The whole work is divided into two main parts - a theoretical section and an empirical analysis. In the first part, the author seeks to define the terms "Energy security" and "Energy Policy" from the perspective of several authors. Subsequently, it is carried out the examination of the development of Energy policy of EU - the European Commission initiatives are researched in particular. Besides, it is examined and evaluated the current status of the implementation of the Union's actions (policy) - especially in area of the individual systems of energy markets of the aforementioned states.

The place of worship. Reflection of the arrangement of the church.

Building a new church and its arrangement impersonate a difficult task for an architect. No less difficult challenge is the reconstruction, upkeep or modification of inner alignment of a historical church. It needs from all concerned subjects - the architect, the submitter and the user (but also offices, conservationists, inhabitants) - basic knowledge about the most important aspects of conception of church, or liturgical space, which has not only its architectonical and functional site, but also a deep symbolical and theological meaning. The church has many requirements about the church building, which are described in many documents of different character. The other information (coming from millennial development and experience with sacral architecture) is involved in theological literature and other sources. Object of this study is making up a simple guide book summarizing all basic requirements (architectonical, artistic, urbanistic, landscape planning, functional and operational, conservationistical and on the other hand theological and symbolical) of building and alignment of a church or liturgical space, its parts (altar, ambon, sedes). Natural elements and textures in the image of Czech cities

PhD thesis deals with the impact of natural elements and structures in the image of the city. Topic is on the edge of urbanism, urban composition, aesthetics and landscape protection. This topic is often mentioned in relation with the identification and evaluation of landscape character. Landscape character significantly affects the urban structure of a city -- foundation of the city and functional layout; It is also reflected in the spatial and urban composition. Image of the city can be analyzed from different perspectives, just as it is possible to analyze the urban composition. Image of the city is solved by number of methodologies and PhD theses, although there are rather focused on the landscape or the town silhouette in surrounding landscape. This PhD thesis is focused on natural elements and structures in the city. So it is not about a city in a surrounding landscape but about townscape. It analyzes the image of the city and follows the methodology of Michael Hexner -- it evaluates the image of the city with regard to relationship of urban structures and natural elements with respect to their visual expression and visual appeal. Conclusions of the work define a relationship between the application of natural elements in the image of the city and its positive acceptance, perception and evaluation. The thesis is mainly focused on assessment of an aesthetic and compositional relationship of natural elements inside the city.

Evaluation of Educational Path Ressl

The basis of this work is to gather as much informatik available on the naturetrail on the hill Ressl, where the main objektive will be to determine whether to propose any adjustments and proposals forimprovement, because of the increasing traffic ofthesite, especially forrecreational, educational, formaintaining harmonious therelationship between man and nature and the common protection of this area.
In the first half of this work is address the characteristics and basic informatik about the nature trail Ressl, its mapping, familiarization and evaluation. In the second half of the work deals with possible modifications or suggestions for improving this route due to the aforementioned.

History of town Most

Thesis focuses on urban and historical development of the town of Most, which is analysed using the available sources from its origination almost to the present. Introductory part is dedicated to foundation of the town of Most and its progressive growth. Main body is focused on removal and removal consequences of the town caused by lignite mining. Second part of the thesis contains computer reconstruction of the historical growth of the urban area. For summarization the imperial imprints of stable cadastre (1842), 2nd military mapping (1846/1847) and historical aerial imagery (dated 1938 and 1952) are being used.

Evaluation of Natural Elements of the Housing Estate in Kladno-Rozdělov

This bachelor´s thesis deals with evaluation of natural elements of the housing estate in Kladno-Rozdělov. Analysis of this urban area is based on exhaustive filed research. This research identified and analyzed funcional and vegetative forms of greenery and reviewed their condition. Part of search is based on an extensive study of the literature. Outputs are the results in the form of maps and text, supplemented by a large number of photographs mapping the status of the selected locations. On the basis of the public inquiry, is possible to say, that green spaces are an important element for life in this urban area, but due to age and inconsistent care, they are in a bad condition. This condition requires proper intervention by the administrative authorities of the city of Kladno. The first step for redress is plan to created the passport of greenery. For that passport may be very important support and foundation this thesis. Furthermore, this thesis can be used in the context of urban planning at the stage of research and analysis, or to the relevant administrative authorities of the city of Kladno, as a source of information about the quality of the environment and life on the housing estate in Kladno-Rozdělov. Finally, it can served as a basis for proposals for the modification or refurbishment of selected locations in the urban whole.

The Values of the Cultural Landscape around the Lomec sanctuary

This dissertation deals with breakdown of landscape in proximity of pilgrimage site Lomec in South Bohemia.
This location was chosen on bases of personal visit and obtainment of basic knowledge about the general area. While determining the part of the area for this work, all key values and elements, that are characteristic for local landscape, were taken into account.
The dissertation is made of two parts. The first part is general (theoretical) and the second part is specific (analytic). The general part deals with given issue and introduces introduction to the topic. The specific part contains the own work of the author, which besides other things embodies the main contribution of this work (mainly some of its parts, in catalogue).
Aim and outcome of the work is to create analysis (in a form of catalogue) of the area, first mentioned in second paragraph of the abstract. For this purpose data obtained during own terrain survey is used. Findings from all available literar sources, pertaining to the current issue, are being used.

Comparison of aproaches to cultral landscape protection in the Czech Republic and in the Netherlands

According to expert discussions, the state of protection of the cultural landscape in the Czech Republic can not be considered as an ideal. Tools applied in other European countries can serve as inspiration for the cultural landscape protection. The main part of this thesis is dealing with the protection of the cultural landscape in the Czech Republic and in the Netherlands. There is also the cultural landscape divided into several types, and also outlines the historical development of cultural landscapes in both countries. The main objective of this study is compare how the Czech Republic and the Netherlands are followed to protect the cultural landscape. The outcome of this study is the compare the approach and recommendations on how to improve the protection of the cultural landscape in the Czech Republic.
