Switzerland and the process of European integration

This work deals with Switzerland and its relationship with European integration. The aim of the study is to determine why is profitable for Switzerland to be non-EU country and why its relations are based on Bilateral Agreements. The study analyzed the economic and political aspects that influence this specific Swiss position.

This bachelor thesis is concerned with migration and Europeanization in regard to the migration policy of the European Union. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the migration policy of the EU in the wake of the Arab Spring and to demonstrate the existence of the Europeanisation processes.
Eurasian Economic Union and potential relationship with EU

Russian Federation has reconsidered its foreign policy on the European Union and is now focusing more on Eurasian integration. This step aroused various reactions in the world, especially after the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union in January 2015. This work deals with the intention of the Union, examines the steps which preceded this event and the possible influence of the eurasianism on Eurasian integration. At the same time, based on the statements of both parties -- European and Eurasian -- the work analyzes potential point of possible cooperation between the European Union and the newly formed regional integration Eurasian Economic Union.
The role of non-governmental non-profit organizations in the integration of immigrants into Czech society

This diploma thesis deals with the role that non-governmental non-profit organizations play in the integration of immigrants into Czech society. Its aim is to introduce their activities, ways of cooperation with other participants, target groups and potential constraints. The first part contains a basic overview of various models of integration and presents multiculturalism as the principal theoretical approach. The second part is focused on the legal and financial status of non-governmental non-profit organizations. Afterwards, the thesis explores the history of immigration into the Czech Republic and the main legislation. The last part introduces a case study of Integration Centre Prague, which reveals the real potential of non-profit organizations in the process of integration.
Analysis of relations between NATO and Russia in terms of energy security

Am of the thesis is to analyze the development of the relations between NATO and Russia since the eastern enlargement of NATO in 2004 until the formation of a New Strategic Concept in 2010 with an emphasis on theenergy diplomacy of Russia in the post-Soviet region.The functioning of Russian energy diplomacy is illustrated by the example of two Ukrainian gas wars. Objective of the thesis is to analyze how is Russia using its energy resources at the bilateral level (especially in the Eastern European region) and its influence towards NATO. There is an instrumental nature in understanding of the energy policy by Russia, which subsequently affects the potential expansion of NATO in the post-Soviet space. The conclusion is that European NATO and the U.S. should seek to maximize the diversification of energy resources to stabilize their negotiating position with the Russians.
Great Britain's Attitude towards the political integration in Europe

Britain's attitude towards the European integration has been an uneasy one since its' inception and it thus represents one of the spheres of British politics that has attracted the most attention and that has been one of the most divisive issues of the domestic politics. The British attitude has however responded to the dynamical development of the political integration in Europe. The aim of the thesis is to assess Britain's attitude towards the political integration in Europe and to prove that, despite its dynamical development, the elements of Euroscepticism prevail over the elements of Europeanization. With respect to the aim, the thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one explains the political integration and charts its development and defines the modern concept of Euroscepticism and Europeanization. The second chapter deals with Britain's attitude towards the European integration, its historical background and its development immediately after the Second World War. Substantial part of the chapter is devoted to the analysis of the British attitude towards the milestones of the political integration. The final chapter looks at the stance of the governments of Tony Blair and the current Conservative-led coalition on the political integration and compares them so as to study its development.
The Privileges and Immunities of the officials and servants of the EC and the EU

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present the privileges and immunities enjoyed by the officials and servants of the EU and other persons taking part in the work of the EU and to compare these privileges and immunities and their extent with the regulation of the international law. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one offers a survey of the sources of the prvileges and immunities legal regulation and covers the development of the main document -- Protocol on the privileges and immunities of the European Union. The second chapter deals with the personal and factual scope of the privileges and immunities and with the waiver of the immunity. The last part of the thesis examines the status of the international officials in terms of the international law and compares the Protocol on the privileges and immunities of the EU with the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, the Agreement Between the United Nations and the United States Regarding the Headquarters of the United Nations and with the General Agreement on Privileges and Immunities of the Council of Europe.
