Study of Interconnection of Lanškroun and Letohrad Water Distribution Systems
Kubešová, Kateřina ; Bakrlík, Marek (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes study of interconnection of Letohrad and Lanškroun water distribution systems. The thesis contains an overview of legislative regulations and technical standards related to the construction, design and directional solution of water supply systems. Following that, there is the description of the current state of the affected water mains. Next part is the design of interconnection including hydraulic analysis in using Epanet 2.0 software. The study contains several variants of the solution. The economic assessment is included.
Hardness of Drinking Water
Kubešová, Kateřina ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
In the introductory part of this bachelor thesis deals with a research focusing on the hardness of water in general and as an indicator of quality of drinking water. Technical point of view is included and the role that the substances which cause hardening have on health is discussed. In the following part, there is an overview of water hardening and softening technologies. Finally, there are two consumables. In the first case, it is a hard-water consumer, in the second case there was a request for the distributed water to be harder.
The importance of immunogenic cell death for modern tumor immunotherapy
Kubešová, Kateřina ; Šírová, Milada (advisor) ; Adkins, Irena (referee)
Immunogenic cell death is characterized by the release of molecules with damage-associated molecular patterns which can subsequently activate immune system. Only specific types of cell death can release these molecules. Classification of immunogenic cell death types and understanding of their initiation can be used for activation of the immune system against cancer cells. Simultaneously, it is necessary to understand different mechanisms, how the molecules with damage-associated molecular patterns work. Molecules with damage-associated molecular patterns which are studied the most, not only for their use in anticancer therapy, are type I interferons, calreticulin, high mobility group box 1 protein and heat shock proteins 70 and 90. Key words: immunogenic cell death, molecules with damage-associated molecular patterns, cancer, immunotherapy, type I interferons, calreticulin, high mobility group box 1 protein, ATP, heat shock protein 70, heat shock protein 90
