Robinson Crusoe - comparison of animated movie and live action movie
Nováková, Hana ; KUBÍČEK, Jiří (advisor) ; DUTKA, Edgar (referee)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is comparison between screenwriting for animated film and live action film and a search for differences in both types of writing. Specifically, this thesis compares two films based on the book The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson Crusoe of York, Mariner, by Daniel Defoe. Using this book I am able to describe the possibilities of both literature and film, and to demonstrate which parts of the book are preferred for film adaptation and why. I also briefly mention the evolution of the story of Robinson Crusoe, and show how animation and live action films deal with these changes. In the final part of my thesis I compare the 1954 live action film Robinson Crusoe, directed byLuis Bunuel with the 1981 Czech puppet film The adventure of Robinson Crusoe of York, mariner, directed by Stanislav Látal. Comparing these two films enabled me to understand and describe specific rules and procedures in scriptwriting for an animated film.

Won, Sang-Eun ; KUBÍČEK, Jiří (advisor) ; Mertová, Michaela (referee)
Korean cinematography gained liberty after the military regime, but the situation depends on political situation. The growth of Korean cinematography shows influences of the policies by every korean government. Thanks to the world-wide success of Korean films, korean viewers perceive how the conservative government tries to control the film industry, and they know how to react to it. For example, the film 26 years (2012) - it was not possible to be shot because of the interruption by the conservative government. Because this film contains massacre in 1980 in the city Kwangju by the dictator, and the dictator is still alive. However future viewers of the film supported it, and the production invited subscriptions to a fund. Finally the film was finished in 2012, and distributed to cinemas all around south Korea. However korean animation is out of viewer's concern, even though it has been the biggest scapegoat by policies of Korean government. Every conservative government have used korean comics as a scapegoat whenever they reached problems. When there were serious criminals of youth or criminals against children, korean government strengthened censorships about comics. Some comics were banned, and authors of these comics could not work on their comics. It happened in 1997, and has began again in 2012.

Břicháčková, Klára ; POSPISZYL, Tomáš (advisor) ; KUBÍČEK, Jiří (referee)
The thesis "Anthony McCall's Other Films" deals with new possibilities of film as a medium. McCall designs light installations which surround the spectator in a gallery space. In my thesis I examine the reasons leading him to the creation of such minimalistic films, exploring his inspirations and interests. Even though his art works at first sight do not resemble films as we know them, I find it intriguing to think of them as films. Anthony McCall enabled us to enter the abstract world of his films. It is a world in which each spectator plays the main part.

This work is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on comparing these two media (theatre and film) and tries to determine the terminology comprehensible by both, the theatre and the film community. It discusses some of the possible variations of film animation, always in relation to certain one, which is central to this work, which is real-time performed anti-illusive puppetry. The second part describes the process of creating two specific events in the film directed by Tereza Volánková; authors own work, where the puppets are lead in this way.
