Storage life of new torch tip
Jiskra, Milan ; Bakeš, Martin (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
Welding in a MIG/MAG protection atmosphere is the the most used and most widespread method for welding. This method is very extensively used. Its only limitation is in an outdoor environment while working in the field, when the effects of external influences (wind) can breach the gas containment. The containment prevents the access of air to the weld pool and a breach can lead to the formation of a poor quality welded joint with a lot of pores. An important part of the welding device is the contact tip, which energizes the welding wire by electric current. There are many types of contact tips from the cheapest to more expensive ones. The requirement is to increase the lifetime of tips to the maximum in order to minimize replacement times. An Australian company making MIGfast tips has tried to increase the lifetime by using a ceramic insulator. This tip producer claimed as much as five times longer lifetime than conventional tips. Tests carried out by us, however, showed a very negative result in comparison with commonly used conventional tips.
Welding of reinforcing steel bars
Bogar, Radek ; Geryk, Pavel (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
Radek Bogar: Welding of reinforcing steel bars Bachelor's degree Bachelor thesis, 2010/2011, FSI VUT Brno, Institute of Engineering Technology, Department of welding and surface treatment, a course in B-STI Mechanical Engineering degree program B3S-P Engineering, May 2011 str. 49, obr. 42, tab. 12, annex 2. This thesis, developed in an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, is focused on the manufacture and welding of reinforcing steel bars, especially for individual types of structural welds, welding methods to be used, production testing and evaluation. The work consists of literary studies of the theoretical foundations of the production of concrete and welding steel bars, their design and use for purposes of concrete structures. Part of this work is the suggestion of additional material and WPS.
Welding Basic Course on 135 Technology
Dolejský, Tomáš ; Opletal, Jan (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
TOMAS DOLEJSKÝ: Welding Basic Course on 135 Technology. The project developed within the framework of the bachelor's study of a branch Engineering technology presents a proposal for a theoretical and a practical parts of the welding basic course with a method 135 in accordance with the curriculum of Czech Welding Society-ANB. The latest norms or up to the present time still valid ones are presented in the project. A theoretical part contains a necessary minimum of requirements for participants of the welding basic course. In the chapter of a welding technology is presented a practical part of this welding process and important principles for a required quality of welded joints according to long-time experience. In a conclusion there is an interpretation of a norm ČSN 05 0705 according to what welding basic courses are realized and a welding process WPS is presented here and a proposal of examining tests for a passing an exam in a welding basic course.
Welding analysis of turbine rotor
Minář, Luděk ; Daněk, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
A research bachelor thesis analyzes possibilities of welding on turbine rotors with emphasis on efficiency, productivity and economy of welding procedure. The work evaluates presence of failures in weld joint and effort to prevent them. Characteristics of turbine materials, which resist to high service temperatures are presented on the literature sources basis. Concept of welded turbine rotor is preferred, because it has many advantages in using big steam turbines for power industry.
Production of Pipe Section Elbow (R=1D) with manual metal Arc Welding
Hráček, Jan ; Staněk, Vlastislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is the final piece of work of a distant form of studies majoring in B-STG Machinery technology and proposes the technology of production of pipe section elbow (R=1D) from seamless pipe DN500 (O508 x 14). The thesis puts forward and evaluates from the technical-economical point of view four kinds of welds combining additional materials from ESAB company for manual metal arc welding using methods 141 and 111. The construction design is made by the ČSN EN 13 480 criteria – metal industrial pipes. The welds of pipe section elbow are designed and done by TPE 10-40/1771/81 – general technical rules of assembling welding pipes of powerplants VVER type valid for EMO 12 (Mochovce powerplant, units 1 and 2). For the construction and modeling of the pipe section elbow ratio (R=1D) programs by Autodesk were used.
Joint of copper tubing
Grmolec, Lukáš ; Balej, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this work was description and practice testing of copper pipes joining. The theoretical part refers to other materials used in pipelines. Both methods for joining copper pipes, soldering and pressing, are detailed in the practical part. Both of these methods were tested during assembly. The work also examines in detail the workflow for implementing of both types of joining. Both types of connections are also examined and compared with each other in terms of price, time and intensity of preparing.
Analysis of application electron beam in industry
Rudyk, Martin ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis analyses individual methods of usage electron beam in an industrial practice, as a welding, machining, deposition, heat treatment material and gravure. As well it compares individual application with anologous method of special fusing welding like a laser welding. It describes his benefits and disadvantages, principles of the beam rise, etc. In the thesis a welding equipment, its function, weld metal connections for various materials, weldability of the different materials are described.
Qualification of welding procedure - WPQR
Houra, Milan ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kovář, Petr (advisor)
The project developed within the bachelor's degree field of B-STG Engineering technology is focused on developing protocols for a preliminary welding procedure specification for a given drawing pWPS weldments. Subsequent to preliminary approval of these protocols are implemented protocol for qualification of welding procedures WPQR. This WPQR protocol is drawn up for a similar award has developed pWPS protocols. The most important parts of the protocol WPQR are destructive and nondestructive tests, which are discussed from both theoretical and practical in the field. At the end of the WPS is the resulting log with a direct link to WPQR protocol is implemented and appreciation of the control tests.
Surface treatment of car body by frosted finish
Kubíček, Dominik ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the problem of surface treatment of car body. It is dedicated to the theory of this problem, to the treatment of metal surfaces, division of different types of treatment as well as to the necessity to protect the surface from corrosion. Next part is a summary of technologic progress and application of frosted finish on the car body. In the end, we point out some mistakes caused by the violation of principles of vehicle paintwork.
Surface treatment by wet paiting
Fical, Karel ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
Protection of various coating materials is today very important, both in terms of aesthetic, functional and, especially corrosion. Corrosion annually causes significant damage to metal structures and degradation of material can cause a total damage of the parts or the whole structure. When appropriate choice of coating materials can suppress the corrosion and its manifestations delay up to several years. Today, the protection of organic material coats the most common way and takes 80 to 90% of all coatings. When selecting paints and their subsequent applications we care about the material properties of the edit, its functional use, the environment in which they will be located and the properties of paint itself. To achieve satisfactory properties, it is necessary to create a technological process for the specific case.
