Theresienstadt Jews and the Musy action as an example of forced migration conditioned by the Holocaust
Hawlanová, Julia ; Králová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Kubátová, Hana (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the rescue operation called Terezín-St.Gallen or "Musy- Transport", through which 1 200 prisoners were transferred from the Theresienstadt concentration camp to Switzerland in February 1945. Through the use of secondary sources, audio-visual testimonies, and archival materials, it examines the circumstances under which the rescue of these Jewish prisoners took place, and analyses the situation of the participants in the Swiss refugee camps in the context of this campaign. It also tackles the question of whether the Musy-transport was intended to be a liberation campaign or whether the people involved in organization of the operation had their own self-serving intentions.

A Study of The Chinese Government's Approach in Preventing Female Employment Discrimination in The Context of The Comprehensive Three-Child Policy
Huang, Zhaoming ; Jusić, Mirna (advisor) ; Kubátová, Hana (referee)
To ease the aging process of the population and change the situation that the fertility rate continues to decline, the Chinese government will adjust the two-child policy to the three-child policy in 2021. The implementation of the three-child policy can indeed release part of the reproductive potential, but childbirth will increase the employment cost of enterprises, which will lead to employment discrimination against women. My thesis is based on the comprehensive three-child policy. The main research problem is the Chinese government's handling of female employment discrimination and putting forward reasonable countermeasures to provide strong support for the Chinese government to deal with female employment discrimination. First of all, through the existing data, we can understand the current employment situation of women in China, and compare the employment situation of women with the employment situation of men. It mainly includes four aspects: high employment threshold, unequal pay for equal work, difficult promotion, and reduced maternity security. The reasons for the current employment discrimination of Chinese women are explained through Becker's model of individual discrimination. When the preference for discrimination is greater than the cost of discrimination, discriminatory behavior...

Significance of Trianon treaty and Hungarian minorities in neighbouring countries in Hungarian politics after 1989
Adámek, Oliver ; Mlejnek, Josef (advisor) ; Kubátová, Hana (referee)
The presented bachelor thesis analyses the impact of Trianon treaty and Hungarian diaspora in Hungarian politics after fall of communism. Effect of this topic in Hungarian politics is being explained by analysis of important events of Hungarian politics connected to the Trianon- topic, as well as by analyzing and presenting Hungarian state budget spendings on subsidies directed to Hungarians living in post-trianon regions. At the same time, the thesis describes the impact and position of Trianon topic in the ideology of prime minister Orbán, the governing Fidesz party and the so-called "national cooperation regime." As a result of the analysis, we can state that the Trianon topic became a crucial dividing line in several moments of the Hungarian domestic and also foreign politics, which is illustrated by relations between Hungary and Ukraine, which are also described in the thesis. This phenomenon also represents one of the important ideological basics of Orbán's specific political system. The topic's importance remains strong even after the country joined the European union (and the borders have practically disappeared), which is confirmed by the growth of Hungarian state budget financial sources directed on the so-called national politics - meaning the politics of Hungary in the relation with...
Slovakia's accession to the EU: A return to the west or a seized opportunity?
Salíni, Michal ; Földes, Kristián (advisor) ; Kubátová, Hana (referee)
This year, 18 years have passed since the moment Slovakia became a member of the European Union. Currently, Slovakia is a long-time member of the Union, however, this status has not always been self-evident. At the turn of millennia, Slovakia was in the middle of an accession process, which was marked with success, as well as problems. This bachelor thesis focuses on the accession process of Slovakia to the European Union in the years 1994-2004. Using theoretical principles of constructivism and post-structuralism, the author is analysing nominalisation and predicalisation of the European Union in Slovak public discourse based on two logical principles - logic of expected consequences and logic of appropriateness. Furthermore, this thesis focuses on which of these logical approaches was prevalent in the public discourse. Author works with materials from political and media sphere from a given period. The first part of the thesis focuses on the theoretical and methodological background necessary for the analysis. In the following part, author describes historical context of the period. In the empirical chapter, author analyses chosen relevant materials. In the last part of the thesis, author provides answers to research questions.
The status of female lawyers as a theme of the Czech Women's Movement during the First Czechoslovak Republic.
Láňová, Lucie ; Gelnarová, Jitka (advisor) ; Kubátová, Hana (referee)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the activities which were carried out by the activist Czech women's movement in the fight for better status of female lawyers in the First republic. The aim of this thesis is to find an answer to the research question "How did the Czech women's movement get involved in the question of the position of female lawyers during the First Republic?" Women were allowed to study at law school within the new republic. After finishing their studies, women wanted to work in the legal professions, which was very difficult despite the fact that women had the equal rights as men thanks to the constitution. Female lawyers were unjustifiably rejected and discriminated against. The Women's National Council, headed by Františka Plamínková and the Association of University-educated Women, tried to solve this situation. Legal department, whose mission was to ensure equal conditions for female lawyers, was established in 1925 within the association . The main goal was to mediate employment of female lawyers in the judicial service and in the conceptual state service. The activists tried for example through deputations, interventions, but also by publishing texts on the issue of the status of lawyers, to improve their chances of employment and also the conditions of employment. The...
