Case study of ortho-prothetic care of a patient with a diagnosis of bilateral transtibial amputation

Title: Case study of ortho-prothetic care of a patient with a diagnosis of bilateral transtibial amputation Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to define theoretical knowledge about anatomy, amputation and prosthetics of the lower limbs. In the practical part, a description of the production of the aid and ensuring the patient's self-sufficiency. Methods: The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains information on the issue of amputation procedures and subsequent prosthetic equipment. The practical part is processed in the form of a case report of a patient with a diagnosis of bilateral amputation of the lower leg, which describes the patient's anamnesis, the course of the initial examination and the process of manufacturing a prosthetic device. Results: The case study was processed on the basis of documentation obtained within the internship in the non-state institution Protetika s.r.o. in the period from March 1, 2021 to March 31, 2021.
