Forecast of the pre-school education needs in Astana until 2030.
Sikhayev, Marlen ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kalibová, Květa (referee)
Forecast of the pre-school education needs in Astana until 2030 Abstract This thesis aims to analyze future preschool education needs in Astana city. The low coverage of children by preschool education (a small number of preschool education institutions) initially lays the foundation of inequality elements and contradicts with the basic principles of the State education policy aimed at accessibility of education for the citizens of the country. As a consequence of insufficient governmental financing, the cost of children maintenance increased and it became the reason of unavailability of kindergarten service for separate groups of people. Consequently, the future preschool needs in Astana until 2030 is of particular interest. The thesis addresses issue of future population development dynamics in new capital city. This aim achieved with the help of forecasting techniques applied for Astana population until 2030. The thesis aimed to present the picture of how the trends (mortality, fertility and migration) are developing and how they will affect on the preschool needs in the future. Keywords: Astana, Kazakhstan, preschool needs, probability of dying, contributions to changes in life expectancy at birth, age specific fertility rate, gross reproduction rate, net reproduction rate, forecasting, cohort-component...
Characteristics of immigrants in France in the beginning of 21st century
Dvořáková, Andrea ; Šídlo, Luděk (advisor) ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee)
Characteristics of immigrants in France in the beginning of 21th century Abstract Aim of this thesis is to give as complex overview of immigration flows to France as possible and characterize immigrants, describe their geographical origin and main motives that resulted in their migration. In the first part of the thesis we will describe the most important legislative changes, immigration politics and negative results of immigration. In the second part we will define regions with higher concentration rate of immigration basing on analyzed data and indicate main preferences of immigrants concerning choice of final destination region. In analysis we found out that geographical origin of immigrants changed in the past, currently majority of immigrants comes from African countries and familial reasons dominate. Immigration process is very difficult for incomers from African countries and result of their unconformity is very low level of education and high rate of unemployment. The highest concentration of immigrants is located in Ile-de-France, where 12 % of immigrants were in the year 2012. Key words: immigration to France, characteristics of immigrants, motives of immigration, geographical distribution of immigrant in France
Analysis of methods of measurement of fully-differential frequency filters
Kučera, Tomáš ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on measurements methods of differential frequency -selection filters with active elements in current mode. Firstly it describes differential frequency-selection filters in current mode and conversions from voltage to current mode. Next the thesis deals with measuring of particular voltage converters to differential current and back from differential current to voltage, which is an integral part for measurements of differential frequency-selection filters in current mode. For design of particular converters there was used program OrCAD there and subsequent simulation was executed in program PSpice.
The development of fertility in the context of populationpolicies in the Netherlands during the period from 1963 to 2006
Kratochvíl, Martin ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kurtinová, Olga (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to describe the development of fertility in the Netherlands during the last half-century and look at it in the context of Dutch population policies in that period. Fertility is represented by the period total fertility rate and some other selected indicators relate to population policies. The second demographic transition theory provides this work with a theoretical basis. The core of the work consists of statistical data analysis, which purpose is to discover and statistically confirm the relationship between the period total fertility rate and population policy mesures implemented by the Dutch governments. Methods used are time series analysis, factor analysis and elements of regression analysis. It was concluded that the influence of most variables on the period total fertility rate cannot be statistically proven. The only indicator that is at least partly related to the period total fertility rate is ratio of female to male hourly wages. The results of this thesis show that the changes in gender equality presumably influence fertility the most.
Quality assesment of the town of Plzeň population forecast
Šmejkalová, Žofie ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor) ; Burcin, Boris (referee)
The quality assessment of the town of Plzeň population forecast Abstract The purpose of this study is the quality assessment of the town of Plzeň population forecast and its suburbs from 1996 and the quality assessment of the town of Plzeň population forecast from 2003. The assessment is mainly focused on the age structure of the population. The main tools of the assessment are Keyfitz's quality index of prediction and the indication of the average deviation of the quality of prediction from 100 %. The results of the study show the impact of the time horizon on the error of the forecast, differences between the errors due to individual age structures and the importance of the population registration. Keywords: forecast, assessment, accuracy, Keyfitz's quality index of prediction

Petkov, Michal ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kurtinová, Olga (referee)
Kazakhstan: Mortality in European context (comparison with selected European countries and nationalities) Abstract The aim of this diploma thesis is to anylized mortality rates in Kazakhstan and compared it with selected European countries. In the begining of the thesis is brief outline of history and development of ethnic composition in this Central Asian Republic. Another section contains a comparison of the economic and social conditions in Kazakhstan with two selected European countries - the Czech Republic and Sweden. The thesis continues with comparison and development of the most important mortality indicators in the three above mentioned countries. One of the used criteria summarizes findings from the comparison of mortality backgrounds of three selected European minorities living in Kazakhstan (Germans, Russians and Ukrainians) with their country of origin. This comparison shows a big difference for German nationality, for Russians and Ukrainians the differences are minimal. The concept of avoidable mortality was also used for comparison mortality conditions in selected countries. The results show a low level of health care system in Kazakhstan. The analysis shows a clear gap in Kazakhstan levels of mortality in comparison with selected European countries and nations. Keywords: Kazakhstan, The...
Bone carriers with mesenchymal stem cells
Kučera, Tomáš ; Urban, Karel (advisor) ; Repko, Martin (referee) ; Gallo, Jiří (referee)
BONE CARRIERS WITH MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS SUMMARY Thesis deals with certain issues relating to bone regeneration. It is divided into experimental and clinical part. In the experimental part is determined number, viability and proliferative ability of mesenchymal stem cells obtained from the bone marrow of proximal femur of 24 female patients with hip osteoarthritis, who had already undergone a total hip arthroplasty implantation. At the same time is ascertained the incidence of osteopenia / osteoporosis in coincidence with hip osteoarthritis and their influence on the properties of mesenchymal stem cells. The final outcome is a significant prevalence of low bone density and its coincidence with hip osteoarthritis, and moreover when identical viability of mesenchymal stem cells, in bones with lower density, there is smaller number and reduced proliferative capacity of such cells. In the second phase was monitored activity of mesenchymal stem cells in selected carriers. These cells were found either in the aspirate of complete bone marrow or in monocyte concentrate. From the carriers we tested cancellous bone allograft, demineralized bone matrix, porous β-tricalcium phosphate, molded hydroxyapatite and calcium sulfate. We evaluated the formation of collagen fibers and the mineralized extracellular matrix. We...
