Possibilities of the vocabulary development/stimulation and of the communicative competences in the conditions of nursery schools

At the present time it is possible to meet the opinion that, in the course of recent years, the education of the speaking skills was enturely discharged from schools (mainly nursery schools), and as well as from families. The education of speaking skills was strangely restricted to non-physiological and with speech disconnected training of speech organs, and as the case may be, to sending some children off to clinical logopedic specialists so as to provide them with speech correction, without being their speaking skills developed in educational facilities. The aim of this dissertation is to refer to the importace of communicative skills development in pre-school education, to the vocabulary development and its stimulaton in the conditions of nursery schools. At the same time it intends to point to the necessary role of schoolmistresses in nursery schools. The dissertation consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The first five chapters form the theoretical part. The sixth chapter represents the practical part which is focused on the particular research of the level of language abilities and vocabulary dvelopment on the basis of the research sample of eighteen children at the age from four to seven years at a country nursery school.
Work with left-handed pupil at the beginning of the school attendence

This thesis deals with the laterality and the ways of diagnosis at children. It is divided into three parts - theoretical, practical and appendixes. The theoretical part deals with laterality, methods of diagnostic and methodology of work with left-handed pupil at the beginning of the school attendance. The aim of research in the practical part of the thesis was to find information about working with left-handed pupils between the students of primary teaching and teachers in practise. The appendixes of this thesis include the questionnaires used for the practical part of the thesis and worksheets for pupils to relax their hand while writing.
Family Centre as a child` s preparation for attending the kindergarten

The main topic of the thesis is the activity of the family center and its activities. These activities help families with children in gradual adaptation and socialization into the collective. On the basis of these activities, the family center solves problems of modern families and helps in coordinating work and family life and thus helps children in entering the kindergarten. The first chapter is focusing on family and its characteristics. It also depicts the family politics specifically the possibilities of coordinating family and work life based upon the interests and needs of the families and support within the framework of services regarding the childcare. Second chapter focuses on the child, its development at two years of age and its needs. With regards to the methodological part of the thesis, it also focuses on adaptation and socialization into the collective and games as a spontanneous and natural child activity. The last chapter looks at the family center, its mission and goals. The methodological part of the thesis is realised as a case study in the specific family center. The research focuses on analysis of current services of the family center with regards to childcase and looks at how the center prepared a child for entering the kindergarten by using case studies as an example....
Science experiments during free-time activities of school-aged children

This bachelor thesis deals with the ways in which science (chemistry, physics, biology) and other related disciplines can be used in primary school children's leisure time activities. It presents a number of practical proposals as for how to make these subjects more accessible in an attractive way. The theoretical part briefly describes the individual subjects in question, a range of leisure-time facilities suitable for the intended activities, and specifies the characteristics of preschool children. The practical part brings a numer of possible experiments in the given subjects, together with their description and practical implementation. The proposals for experiments and activities are based on everyday life. The aim of this thesis is to make these often not fully understood everyday life situation accessible to children in an interesting and playful way. The final reflection is aimed at the assessment of the suitability of the individual proposals, and their possible pitfalls and improvements.
Home Preparation for Pupils for the Lower Grades of Primary School

The diploma work focuses on home preparation o f pupils at primary school. It deals with primary education and characterises the junior school age in connection with home preparation of pupils. The attention is above all given to homework and home learning. It concentrates on appropriate environment for home preparation, problems with homework, motivation for doing homework and assistance provided by parents with the home preparation of their children. It analyses kinds, forms and frequency o f homework in detail. It investigates opinions of the educationalists at primary schools, parents and children on assigning homework. Issues of postponement of school attendance in the town of Kladno

The thesis is mapping the region of Kladno in period of 4 years and is pointing to an increase of school suspension in 2011by about six percent, compared to the average in previous three years. With help of used research methods, interviews and data analysis, we have confirmed and determined a hypothesis, that the most weakened components of children's personalities in Kladno are connected to social maturity, which pointed out self- sufficiency problems and problems with making contacts with peers. At the field of mental maturity we detected speech defects and inability to focus on classwork. Also we concluded that school suspension is more frequently granted to boys. This is pointed out in the theory of Langmeier, J., Krejčířová, D. 2006 and ÚIV. However, the month of birth, which also determines accession to the school, is important. At the end of our thesis, which contains general summary, we highlighted the uncertain areas and we suggested other possible topics, which needs to be further investigated.
Options to include children under three years to nursery schools in the Mělník region

The diploma thesis deals with the age category of children which are under three years old and their potential to be accepted to nursery schools in this region. The thesis generally summarizes all the current knowledge about that if is it possible to place the children of this age into pre-school institutions and under what conditions. Thesis also deals with providing care, upbringing and education of children under three years, the overall readiness of kindergartens to fulfill those demands and also opinions of pedagogical public. In the theoretical part the author explains legislative requirements of accepting the children under three years into nursery schools. The author also describes and characterizes the child development between second and third year of life. The thesis deals with the specific peculiarities of these children their adaptation and describes their possibilities to be accepted by kindergartens. Differences between the homogenous and heterogenous classes arranged at maternity schools, plus the influence of these arrangements on the child's preparedness to enter the first grade of elementary school.

Résumé This thesis deals with finding differences between homogeneously and heterogeneously assorted classes in nursery schools and their influence on the readiness of a child to enter the first class in elementary school. The theoretical part focuses on school maturity and readiness, general characterization of a pre-school child before entering the first class in elementary school, differences between heterogeneously and homogeneously assorted classes in nursery schools and finally on a child's preparedness for the compulsory education. The practical part shows the results of a research carried out by the means of an author's test of school maturity method and a questionnaire. The research sample consisted of children of pre-school age before entering elementary schools from heterogeneous and homogeneous nursery school classes and pedagogues from nursery and elementary schools. The main objective of this research was to find out which children are better prepared for entering elementary school, whether from homogeneous or heterogeneous classes in nursery schools.
