Early Diagnosis of the Failure of Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy
Krejčí, Tomáš ; Řehák, Svatopluk (advisor) ; Krahulík, David (referee) ; Brichtová, Eva (referee)
Early diagnosis of the failure of endoscopic third ventricolostomy Aim of the study: The aim of the study is to determine the risk of ETV failure based on the presence or absence of radiological indications of third chamber deformation (bowing of the third chamber) on preoperative MR brain scans in patients with obstructive hydrocephalus. Additionally evaluating extend of the bowing, patients age, regression of bowing following successful ETV, etiology, degree of prematurity of newborns, persistence and character of clinical symptoms and other factors. Type of the study: Prospective clinical study. The data set and methodology: Data set comprised 157 patients with obstructive hydrocephalus operated on Neurosurgical clinic of University Hospital Ostrava between January 2008 and December 2016. The follow up duration was at least 3 months. From this cohort we were able to determine effect of bowing on ETV outcome in 135 patients. Of these patients, 70 were adults, 27 were children between 7 months and 16 years of age and 38 were infants under 6 months. From 38 infants under 6 months were 22 severe premature newborns, 9 moderately premature newborns and 7 mildly premature newborns. The extend of the bowing was determine in the range 3 - 14 mm. Results: ETV was noted as successful in 84 cases (62%). Statistical...
Reduction of nitrogen oxides in flue gas on special catalysts
Vávra, Jan ; Krejčí, Tomáš (referee) ; Jecha, David (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on experimental reduction of nitrogen oxides on special catalysts. The latest and state-of-the-art flue gas cleaning technologies are used. Selective catalytic reduction results in the desired level of pollution. It is necessary to meet the prescribed emission limit. A ceramic honeycomb filter based on vanadium and titanium is used as the catalyst. The entire measurement is carried out on the experimental INTEQ II unit, which is installed in the flue gas cleaning laboratory at NETME Center. It is shown which operating parameters achieve better efficiency of flue gas cleaning. Comparison of the BASF and CERAM catalysts is also performed. Finally, a material balance of the system is performed and a new external electric heater is designed to accelerate the heating process.
John Henry Newman - life and work in the context of the struggle for the universality of the Church
Krejčí, Květoslav Tomáš ; Veverková, Kamila (advisor) ; Procházka, Pavel (referee) ; Dolista, Josef (referee)
John Henry Newman - life and work in the context of the struggle for the universality of the Church ThDr. JUDr. Květoslav Tomáš Krejčí, M.Phil. (Oxon), Ph.D. In the absence of any Czech language monograph since 1939 (or 1947), the thesis presents a summary of the life and work of John Henry Newman (1801-1890). A particular attention is given to the reception of Newman's thought in France and Germany, his relationship with Catholic modernism and liberal theology as well as to Newman's impact on the documents of Vatican II.
Dynamization of spatial data using location-based services: Tourist potential of industrial heritage
Malý, Jiří ; Krejčí, Tomáš ; Trojan, Jakub ; Chudáček, Stanislav ; Nováková, Eva
The paper deals with industrial heritage and its potential in tourism. Although the post-industrial landscape is an integral part of all the countries that went through a period of de-industrialization and economic transformation, presentation and publicity of valuable industrial monuments that are linked with post-industrial landscape in many cases are not fully utilized. This paper aims to acquaint readers with a possibility of transformation of data on industrial objects into augmented reality, while using location-based services. The final result is the web-based platform allowing easy data transformation. The paper has thus largely methodological-application character. The outcomes of the testing phase indicate that information about the objects do have their limits, but respecting them brings their effective performance in augmented reality.

Up-to-Date Medium Capacity Waste-to-Energy Unit
Krišpín, Jan ; Krejčí, Tomáš (referee) ; Bébar, Ladislav (advisor)
The submitted Master Thesis deals with the technological/mechanical solution of an up-to-date medium capacity waste-to-energy plant. Operational requirements and basic parameters related to a concrete region are specified in the introduction of the Thesis. This is supplemented by a flow-sheet of the plant with the description of main process subsystems. To meet the goals of the Thesis basic balance information is summarized and related schemes included. These data represent principal inputs for the on-site plant as well as basic parameters for the design of key equipment. These pieces of equipment are schematically drawn including their basic parameters and a description of construction. All the available innovative solutions are taken into account. The Thesis provides also a technical-economic analysis for being able to evaluate the overall project.
The Design of a Perimeter Security Solution of an Organization
Dupač, Viktor ; Krejčí, Tomáš (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of a perimeter security solution of an organisation. In the first part of this thesis I am describing some theoretical basics and since chapter six I start describing the main topic of this thesis. In the first logical part of the main topic part I am describing a present situation of an organisation and starting the planning of the solution. In the second logical part of the main topic part I am describing the router Turris Omnia. In that part I am describing this device from different angles. Then next logical part describes the final solution of a perimeter security solution of an organisation. And finally after that there is the part of the evaluation and benefits of this thesis and the conclusion of this thesis.

Regional and flash flood as a limiting factor for development
Kolejka, Jaromír ; Krejčí, Tomáš ; Rapant, P. ; Inspektor, T.
Locating and developing factors are generally well known, studied and taken into account in the accepting of the solution. In contrast, the limiting factors of development usually stands in the background. Current data sources, knowledge and modelling technologies allow greatly anticipate the extent of the flood situation. Evaluation of the risk of regional or flash floods is not discouraging information for investors, but rather to guide their activities to a safe area. Knowledge of risk locations in the Czech Republic in terms of these types of floods also help for the safety of visitors and the local population. Appropriately incorporated findings into the development plans of all dimensions support the initiatives of local and external investors. The paper illustrates the unconventional use of public available geodata in the form of an offer vital information into regional development plans.
