The process of compilation and accepting of the civil code during the Meiji period
Kraus, Jan ; Labus, David (advisor) ; Sýkora, Jan (referee)
This work concerns itselť with o ne oť the aspects oť the modernization oť Japan during the Meiji Era (1868-1912), the establishment oť a Civil Code based on western lega! princip les, in a broad context oť the historical and socio-political situation of the said period. First, it explores the state oť lega! knowledge in Japan at the end of the previous historical period, the Tokugawa Era. As a result of the development during the centuries prior to that, it may be said that the Japanese view oť law became to be such that the law was overshadowed by the traditional pattern oť a rigid social structure, preferring over law the mutual relations among the people living in such a system. Being ťorced to cancel her isolation policy by an extensive outside pressure ťrom the worlďs powers, Japan starts to strive for a general modernization. The s o called U nequal treaties established in the last years of the rule oť the Tokugawa shogunate between Japan and several countries set it to an inferior position, and this situation continued unchanged in the ťollowing Meiji period. One of the prerequisites for the revision of these treaties was the establishment of a western-like lega! system with the Civil Code as one oť the important Codes of Law. Kraus, Jan ; Frinta, Ondřej (advisor) ; Pohl, Tomáš (referee)
This work is about the development of forms and resolving property conflicts since the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic to the present. It focuses on mediation, and arbitration activity compared with treatment in other countries. This work is separated into four parts. First part deals with resolution of property conflicts since the year 1918 till now. Second part deals with the forms of resolving property conflicts. Third part deals with mediation and the work ends in fourth part which deals with arbitration activity.
Voltage quality in DC grids
Faktor, Richard ; Kraus, Jan (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with elektrical power quality in DC grids. Electrical power is commodity and therefore it must be represented not just with quantitative, but also with qualitative parameters. Nowadays, there is an increasing demand for bigger implementation of renewable energy sources and more efficient power systems, which motivates installation of DC grids. However, development of DC grids is decelerated by lack of standardization alson in power quality. The work includes definition of power quality parameters and their measurement methodology.
General and Special Physical Performance of Older Elementary School Pupils
Kraus, Jan ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Segeťová, Jarmila (referee)
Aim of this thesis is to find out and to compare general and specific physical performance level of sport class pupils (athletics, football) and non-sport class pupils from elementary schools of Pilsen. For finding the general and specific physical performance level, we have used the following tests: free start 50 m run, standing broad jump, both hands medicine-ball throw, long jump, one-handed ball throw, 1500 m run. The highest level of general and specific physical performance has been found in pupil groups of sport class with focus on athletics. Physical performance level of sport class pupils (athletics, football) is higher than physical performance level of Czech population of 70's and Slovak population of 80's. Because of higher number of pupils in sport classes nowadays, the level of their physical performance is little bit lower than the level of sport class pupils of 70's and 80's. Key words: test, testing, performance, sport class

Structure Optimization of Electro-Hydrostatic Actuator for General Aviation Aircraft
Kraus, Jan ; Němec, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rousek, Miroslav (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
The use of only one primary sort of energy is the present trend of aircraft design and its force systens. There are designed electromagnetical force systems for control of ther moving parts of aircraft structure. Great demands are laid on energy and dynamic characteristics at some force systems, especially at aircraft control system, and therefore there are developed electro-hydrostatic actuators, suitable for aircraft for aircraft control system, which could graduallly replace commonly used hydraulic servo-controol system. Not only electric signals but also required electric outputs are led into these electro-hydraulic actuators. Using a hydrostatic converter it is changed into mechanical output controlling the aircraft control system. The goal of work is to set requirements for characteristic and conception of electro – hydrostatic actuators for aircraft control systems. Further, on the basis of theoretical analysis , computer modeling and experiment, the design optimisation of electro-ghydrostatic actuator should be done for small business aircraft from the point of view of dimmensions and dynamic characteristics.
Valuation of damage caused by torrential rain to a house in the village of Nesovice
Kraus, Jan ; Vřešťál, Jiří (referee) ; Šmahel, Milan (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the valuation of damage caused by torrential rain to the family house in the village Nesovice. In the first part the basic terms and assessing methods are defined. In the second part, there are applied methods of appraisal of damage on the family house. There is the value of the property calculated before the insurance event. In the itemized budget, there are quantified the cost of repairs of damaged constructions and then detected current value after repairs. The aim of the thesis is to dedicate readers to the problem of assessment.
Vizualizace procesu tavného svařování
Kraus, Jan
The presented work deals with a rating of the welding process from the view of welding possibility based on a nondestructive testing record by an acoustic emission passive method (AE). The measuring are carried out on guaranteed welding materials and difficult welding materials. The material (metal-graphic and frakt-graphic) and mechanic verification of a weld creation is placed after the welding process and the reaction of the metals with a different chemical composition. There is also the analysis of the AE records depending on the material states during a formation of a fusible and resistance joint.
Aplikace metod strojového učení na dolování znalosti z dat
Kraus, Jan
The diploma thesis deals with the area of data mining applied to large collections of textual data. Specifically the thesis is focused on sentiment analysis based on the user's subjective verbal assessment in natural language. The first part of the diploma thesis introduces the reader to basic terms of machine learning and data mining applied particularly to large textual data collections. Following is the description of textual data preprocessing methods and principles of machine learning algorithms. In the practical part of this thesis there are experiments designed and subsequently executed using the SPSS Modeler tool. The experimental part is focused especially on identification of significant attributes and recongnition of relationships between them. The emphasis is put especially on thorough interpretation of the results obtained.
