Use of FRP Composites as Reinforcing Material for Concrete

Because FRP composites have high fiber strength and good durability, they are increasingly used for repairs, modernisation and reconstruction of concrete structures. In practice, however there is a risk of premature separation of FRP reinforcement from concrete. This can be avoided by appropriate selecting the fibers and the matrix and the appropriate shape of the reinforcement. The actual materials and consistency of FRP reinforcement with concrete are also covered by this diploma thesis.

The Passion Scenes in Murals in the 1st Half of the 14th Century in Bohemia

The subject of this study is to chronicle and elaborate on the existing mural paintings in our territory depicting Passion of Christ in the first half of the 14th century in particular, from the iconographic perspective. The cycles from the first half of the 14th century in this thesis are follows: (i) The Passion Cycle in St. Wenceslas church in Bubovice; (ii) The Passion Cycle in St. George church in Čebín; (iii) The Passion Cycle in St. Peter and St. Paul church in Dalešice; (iv) The Passion Cycle in St. Martin church in Dolní Město; (v) The Passion Cycle in castle Houska chapel; (vi) The Passion Cycle in St. John the Baptist church in Jindřichův Hradec; (vii) The Passion Cycle in St. James the Greater church in Křeč; (viii) The Passion Cycle in Church of the birth of the Virgin Mary in Starý Plzenec; (ix) The Passion Cycle in the Former Johanit Commandery and the Church of St. Prokop at Strakonice. Motivation and barriers in further adult education in doctoral degree

The aim of the thesis is to find out, what was the initial motive for the study of the doctoral program and what are the types of motivations and barriers in further education of adults in doctoral studies. The theoretical part is based on the concept of lifelong learning and lifelong learning. It defines the concept of further education of adults, which needs to be defined to anchor the topic in the work. It focuses on doctoral studies, phases during doctoral studies, related strategic documents, legislation and available research surveys, that focus on motivation and barriers. Another important part of the work is to define the motive, motivation, types of motivation in relation to the adult, which is part of further adult education. Barriers are viewed in terms of available research. The practical part is based on a quantitative and descriptive study examining motivations and barriers across the disciplines to pursue a doctoral degree, which was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey. The research survey is aimed at doctoral students, who have already interrupted primary education and are returning to study after at least a one-year break. The Mural Paintings in the Church of St. James the Greater in Křeč The submitted bachelor thesis "The Mural Paintings in the Church of St. James the Greater in Křeč" focuses on the basic introduction to the mural Passion cycle from the first half of 14th century in Křeč. The first chapter is focused on basic literature. The next chapter is dedicated to the outlining of historical relationships leading to the creation of this cycle. The third chapter si dedicated to building history and the equipment of church and the other one is about the art-historical context of this period. The fifth chapter is related the mural paintings itself. Concisely summarizes basic description and the history and the present condition of mural paintings. The other chapters are focused on individual scenes of the Passion cycle and their analogies. This bachelor thesis is comprehensive monograph which is based on the available literature.
