Retirement home

The topic of this thesis is a project documentation of a Retirement home located in Prague in Novodvorská street. The building is designed as a stand-alone building with five floors of a rectangular ground plan with a receding fifth storey. The retirement home is divided into a public section - a pharmacy and a part for clients - accommodation, leisure time including facilities - a restaurant with a kitchen, a laundry room. The construction system is designed as a reinforced concrete monolitic skeleton with rectanguplar columns and the filling structures are made of ceramic blocks. The building is based on reinforced concrete footings. A waterproof concrete is proposed for the lift shaft, and the foundation sills are designed for the perimeter masonry. Roofing of the 4th and 5th floor is a warm flat roof. In the 4th floor roofing section, the roof is made as a concrete tiles paving. The main entrance to the building is from southwest and the access to the building is from the northwest side where there is a parking lot for employees and clients.

Family house

This bachelor thesis presents a design of a a family house for family of four members. The house is located in a residential district of the city of Prague - Kunratice. The house is designed in one part with two floors with one floor partly below ground level. The other part is designed with one floor. The layout is divided into two sections. The single-storey part of the house is a daily residential area, on the first floor of the two storey part is night zone for rest. In a recessed floor are utility rooms, study room and gym. Entry to the house and entry to the garage are located on the 1st floor on the north side. The building will be based on the footings of plain concrete and a concrete slab. Basement walls are constructed of permanent formwork filled with concrete. 1st and 2nd floor are made from sand-lime blocks. Walls are insulated with ETICS. The ceilings are from cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs. Roofing is designed as warm flat roof. Analysis of thermal and mechanical properties of the house and fire safety report are also parts of this bachelor thesis.

This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of monitoring the movement of people in areas of interest. The theoretical part presents various options for motion detection in the stores, from the simplest PIR detectors to the use of thermal cameras or wireless Wi-Fi interfaces. The proposed solution then deals with the detection of the movement of people by using computer vision.

Directional antenna for 60 GHz frequency band

The aim of this diploma thesis is to study the possibilities and problems of low-profile antennas and subsequently to design a directional antenna with spherical reflector for millimeter wavelengths. The theoretical part deals with basic information about horn and reflector antennas, and about SIW technology. In addition, the thesis deals with the specific design and modeling of the antenna using CST Microwave Studio. The simulated design achieved a sufficient bandwidth to cover ISM (57 GHz to 64 GHz) with gain 13.6 dBi at 60 GHz frequency. On fabricated antenna, the antenna impedance ratios were worse and the target bandwidth was not reached. Antenna gain was 14.33 dBi at 60 GHz frequency.

The health aspects of the body image

Body image and health are two closely related concepts that affect the quality of our lives. The aim of this diploma thesis was to gather current knowledge about the interconnectedness of the above-mentioned concepts and to evaluate some risk areas of the promoted body image patterns in relation to the possibilities of damage or impairment of health. In the theoretical part of the work, a research was created, which was processed on the basis of Czech and foreign literature. At the same time, this section identified the health risks associated with the pursuit of the current, society-accepted bodily ideal. The empirical part of the work contains own research, the aim of which was to assess the level of subjectively perceived satisfaction with them in the adult population of men and women in relation to BMI categories. The research took place in April 2020 and involved a total of 80 adults, including 40 men and 40 women. The revised Life Satisfaction Questionnaire, specifically the Health area excluded from it, served as a tool for assessing satisfaction with the level of health. For the purpose of evaluating satisfaction with body image, an evaluation scale was used. The results of the research revealed that men evaluate their health and body image better than women, and that individuals with a BMI in normal show better results in both areas than individuals suffering from overweight or obesity. The diploma thesis can serve as a material to spread awareness about the risks of eating disorders.

The evaluation of training units by basketball's players in the categories U12 and U14

Title: The evalation of training units by basketball's players in the categories U12 and U14. Objectives: Create a training units in the basketball for players category U12 and U14. These training units are always focused on training, physical condition training, game training and combinaton of the previous parts. We have to implement these trainings, create questionnaries for the players and get the training evaluation from them. Methods: There was used a professional literature for creating the training unit in this work. The literature is from the field of sport training, didactics of sport games and basketball literature. We use quantitative type of research. We analyse the ratings obtained from the training units for categories U12 and U14. Results: The results show that the most popular training units are those, which aimed at the training game. But the least popular are training units focused on practice for category U12 and physical condition training for U14. This thesis concentrates on drawing graphs in 3D. In the first part of the text, we concentrate on orthogonal layouts of graphs with maximum degree 6. We show how to draw graphs using high dimensional embedding (HDE) and propose a new fast algorithm based upon sampling of the HDE. Further, we developed an application for Win32 that allows the user to translate, zoom and rotate the graph drawing, thus taking full advantage of the 3D layout.
