Support for gifted primary school pupils in the Kolín district

The diploma thesis deals with the system of support for gifted pupils in elementary schools with an emphasis on the 1st grade of elementary schools. The aim of the work is to help pedagogues to better understand this issue. The aim of the theoretical part of the work is to describe, based on the available knowledge from the professional literature, how the identification and support of gifted pupils should take place. The theoretical part characterizes the gifted student, defines the concept of giftedness, describes the basic models of giftedness, the typology and manifestations of gifted students, and describes the possibilities of working with gifted students. Furthermore, the theoretical part of the thesis analyzes individual legislative measures and school policy documents that describe the education of gifted pupils in the Czech Republic. The work characterizes the participating system of support for gifted students and their mutual cooperation. Teachers' work with e-resources: a comparison of face-to-face and distance teaching

This diploma thesis explores two teachers' approaches to electronic learning resources. The topic is in the current context relevant more than ever, especially when the eventuality of face- to-face education again shifting back to distance learning remains possible. Therefore, it is necessary to know how teachers work with and use electronic materials in preparation for classes and directly when teaching. The main aim of this work is to find out how have the two selected teachers used e-resources in face-to-face and distance learning and to compare their approaches in order to identify differences and similarities in their attitudes. This thesis is qualitative research in which the researcher chooses two methods - interview and observation. Apart from that, it contains theoretical and empirical part. In the former, the author defines the terms teacher, teaching resources, ICT, and e-learning resources. All these listed terms relate to the empirical part where the particular approaches of both teachers are explored with the help of seven identified categories. Embedding Formative Assessment in English Language Teaching in Primary School

This diploma thesis is focused on embedding the formative assessment in English language teaching in primary school. It focuses on formative assessment strategies and their implementation in foreign language teaching. It specifies the learning aims, criteria, communication in the classroom including the efficient questioning, feedback, peer- assessment and self-assessment. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the school assessment, it describes the typology, the forms and the functions of assessment. It also deals with the theme of ability to learn foreign language with regard to cognitive, social and emotional, and physical growth of children. The third chapter of the theoretical part describes the key strategies of formative assessment. The empirical part explores the process of embedding the formative assessment strategies into the primary education. The collection of particular techniques is embodied in this part of the thesis. Teachers support of the unsuccessful pupils in primary school

This Master Thesis deals with the teachers support of educationally unsuccessful pupils in the 1st grade of primary school. The aim is to record strategies and pedagogical (didactic) practices to support these pupils and to see how these practices are applied in practice. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part, the concept of an educationally unsuccessful pupil is defined and the causes and consequences of school failure are briefly defined. Legislative (congressional) support for these pupils is also defined, with a focus on 1st degree support measures. Attention is drawn to the factors and areas affecting school success, which the teacher must pay attention to when supporting students, especially those who are unsuccessful in school. The categories that are broken down in more detail are the overall climate in the classroom, the relationship between the teacher and the student, assessment, motivation and forms and methods of teaching. Special attention is then paid to communication, which permeates (touches/penetrates/fuses in) all the mentioned areas. Educating children from a Children's Home

Dissertation is focused on the issue of institutional care in the Czech Republic. The main focus of this work are children's homes, education and socialization of children placed in this type of residential care. The aim of the theoretical part is to describe the characteristics of subjects of institutional care in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, to compare institutional care with selected countries and describe the child's socialization in the family and at school. A historical overview of institutional care in the Czech Republic is also described, and in conclusion the author deals with a specific description of the social inclusion of pupils with special educational needs in the teaching process at primary school. The diploma thesis deals with the role of the teacher in the education of unsuccessful schoolchildren at the 1st stage of primary school. The theoretical part deals with various concepts of school failure. The first chapter defines the concept of school success and failure. The second chapter deals with the various reasons for school failure, which the teacher must determine in order to effectively support the pupil. The third chapter focuses on the behavior of pupils with SEN, which can often be dangerous and the teacher must know how to behave in such situations. The fourth chapter deals with how a pupil with SEN is admitted to a regular class. Above all, however, the thesis focuses on the procedures used by the teacher, which help the child in learning and overcoming obstacles that make his learning more difficult, including subjectively perceived failure. We will find this information in the fifth chapter. The next chapters focus on the teaching assistant and the school, which are of cordinal importance in supporting the student. HIGHLY GIFTED GIRLS IN THE FIRST GRADE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL

The thesis focuses on the issue of the education of extremely gifted girls in the first grade of primary school. The aim of the work is to map the issue of educating particularly gifted girls from the perspective of teachers, parents, and the girls themselves. The main aim of theoretical part is to describe the characteristics of gifted girls and the most common problems based on a reserch of Czech and foreign literature. The major focus is set on the issue of gender stereotypes which may influence the self-image of gifted girls and their education process. In practical terms, the case reports several extremely gifted girls in the first grade of primary school from the point of view of individul grils as well as from the point of view of their parents. The practical part includes a discussion with the teachers to map their expectations and experience of educating the gifted girls. The results of the research confirmed the findings from the scientific literature. Girls do not tend to hide their talents if they are being educated in a stimulating conditions and their individual needs are respected. Tutorial system in the education of primary school pupils

This diploma thesis deals with the tutorial system in the education of primary school pupils. The theoretical part is marginally devoted to defining the historical development of cooperation between family and school and it is individual forms, from which the so-called tutorial system is based. The greatest attention is paid to this part of the work. It is focused on main principles and goals. The tutorial system offers a specific relationship between family and school through the building of an open and confidential environment and, under appropriate conditions, helps the interplay of the educational process of both social institutions. The empirical part of the work is aimed at finding out whether the tutorial system is really a functional form of cooperation between family and school, providing specific benefits for all stakeholders. It is implemented through a qualitative methodology, specifically through structured, semi-structured interviews and observations. Pupils, parents, teachers, tutors and the principal of the primary school where the research took place were involved in the research survey. The results of the research show that if certain conditions are met when introducting tutoring, it can really be a tool for open and effective cooperation between the family and the school. Data...
