Belt conveyor for food corn
Kovář, Michal ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Jonák, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a belt conveyor for the transportation of food grains. The aim is to perform a functional analysis and structural design of the angled conveyor belt to transport an output of 53,000 kg per hour, given an axial distance dunes of 19 m and a height difference of 3.5 m. The thesis contains a brief description of the main parts of the belt conveyor, the functional calculations according to standard ČSN ISO 5048, the determination of the main dimensions, the design of the drive and conveyor belt tensioning device. It is also performed stress analysis jacket and a driven drum, and analysis of the properties of the transported materials. The work is accompanied by drawings.
Measurement of Stirling engine
Kovář, Michal ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis describes the design chain to indicate the measuring cylinder Stirling engine. It describes the practical problems of measurement methodology and highlights the possible pitfalls of the measuring chain. For measuring the use of pre-existing model of gamma Stirling engine modification. It was carried out systematic measurement and evaluation of measured data. As a mathematical model for comparison with the measured data was used ideal cycle and Schmidt theory.
Two Stroke Engine Indirect Fuel Injection
Kovář, Michal ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with indirect fuel injection on new two-stroke engine for motocross sidecar. The purpose of this work was to design the fuel injection system together with length of the fuel injection times. To determine the fuel injection times, it was necessary to determine the complete exhaust system that affect the volumetric efficiency. The conclusions were based on research in the field of two-stroke engines and calculations determining the amount of fuel per one cycle. The injection method together with the location of the fuel injector and type of fuel injector that can be use were determined and then the injection times that can be entered in the ECU.

This work occupies until now practically not researched relation of Czechoslovakia and Guatemala in the period of so called Guatemalan Revolution in the years 1944-1954. The thesis in based above all on the until now unpublished archive material from the archives of Ministry of Foreign Relations of the Czech Republic, Secretary of Foreign Relations of Mexico, National Archive of the Czech Republic, and also from American Central Intelligence Agency. Czechoslovak relation with Guatemala was created already in the period in-between World Wars, when the small central European country became one of the greatest purchasers of the Guatemalan coffee. Exactly commercial interests of Czechoslovakia helped to create official diplomatic relations in this period, at which end was sealed in 1936 the commercial agreement and Guatemala bought in the same year arms in Czechoslovakia. Waltari's A Stranger Came to the Farm: a Comparison of Translation by V. Skalička (1941) and J. P. Velkoborský (2005)
Kalábová, Hana ; Dlask, Jan (advisor) ; Kovář, Michal (referee)
This master's thesis deals with the comparison of the two Czech translations of the book A Stranger Came to the Farm by Mika Waltari. The first translation was made by Vladimír Skalička in 1941 and the second one by Jan Petr Velkoborský in 2005. The thesis is divided into two main parts, a theoretical part and an analysis. The purpose of the theoretical part is to introduce the reader to Mika Waltari, both translators and the original book. I also briefly write about the translation theory. The analysis deals with lots of problems. One of them is the translation of the title and names. I am also interested in creativity of the translators, in the lexical richness of the adaptations and in their mistakes as well. I also show the difference in the approach of literal and free translation. Another big problem this thesis deals with is which text was the source for work of Velkoborský, because in his time there were two Finnish versions with small differences in them and also Skalička's interpretation already existed.
