PhDr. Marie Fulková, Ph.D. Abstract: Man's relationship to the sea is one of the basic subjects of artistic inspiration throughout history. Without us being directly aware of it, it is a constant but at the same time changeable part of our being. The sea is an important cultural point of reference and a rich symbol. The subject of The Phenomenon of the Sea - Photography and the Description of the Sea in Selected Art Forms has thus been consciously chosen in reference to the individual imagination. In the chapters entitled Work 1-7, I present my artistic and pedagogical works from the years 2009-2013, along with descriptions of their origins and genesis. These also include references to a "portfolio diary" and endnotes. The text follows a multidirectional mental trajectory, and the chosen form of overlapping layers combines various contexts: instead of a linear reading, it thus invites the reader to move freely through the text.
