Family policy in the CR - development and recent status

The object of this thesis is partly a determination of the social functions of the family and the characteristic of the progress of the family policy before the year 1989 and the changes which occurred after the year 1989. Then there are defined some objectives and main problems which has to be resolved by the family policy. There is especially the support of the intergenerational cohesion, the financial support of the families with children, the section of the housing policy, the services for families, the recompatibility of familial and professional roles, the system of education, the health care and help to the special groups of families. Pivotal part of the thesis is paid to the contemporary form of the family policy. Namely: Benefits which goes from the medical insurance and relates with family. The medical insurance includes the maternity benefit, the benefit paid in gravidity and maternity to counterbalance loss of earnings and the nursing allowance during the care of a family member. Social security benefits which are classified into means-tested benefits and non-tested benefits. The first group includes the child benefit, the social conditions allowance and the housing allowance. And the second group includes the parental allowance, the foster care benefits, the birth grant and the death grant....

62 Resumé Family policies in the Czech Republic The objective of this master's degree thesis is to analyze the current position of family in the Czech Republic in terms of living standards. The paper focuses on institutional and legislative tools for supporting families, i.e. the family welfare program and consequent benefits. The reason for this analysis is the fact that family is the very basic and most important unit of our society. Prospering family is essential for sustainable growth of society as a whole, especially economy, welfare and culture. Despite this unexceptionable fact, family is in focus of neither Czech legislature nor policy. The functionality of family and its role in today's society is undermined. That's why it's essential to support any effort or activity driving the system towards change. This thesis is divided into five parts. First chapter defines family and family policies and describe their functions in society. There's a part that deals with institutional approaches and provides outline of Czech family law. Second chapter focuses briefly on evolution of family welfare system until 1989 and the major changes at this field after 1989. The summary Family policy in the Czech Republic - development and the current state As a topic of my dissertation I chose the field of the social policy, respectively its just one part - family policy. I'm still more and more interested in this area and the problems around and that's why I decided to dwell on this subject. Although the family policy is relatively young sphere in comparison with the other legal and social disciplines, it doesn't mean to be less important. Its current form, as we can know today, started to create at the time after the 2nd world war. Furthermore in the communist countries the family situation and the other parts of the government policy was strongly influenced by the soviet model for the 40 years and in fact that's the reason why our country had to go through the many reforms during the 90's and why we still face up against so many problems up to now. All these actions led to flux and development in this area and its rule of law not just in our republic but also in the sphere of the international and European law. So in this composition I want to write especially about the historical development of the family policy till the present state of affair in the first place. Summary; klíčová slova Personnel management with a focus on personnel recruitment agency The purpose of my thesis is to analyze the steps within recruitment process of the new employees by recruitment agency. My thesis is also focused on the personnel activities of the Human Resources department which are very close to the recruitment. The reason for my research is that I have been working as a Recruitment specialist for 5 years with an experiences on the both sides - Personal agency and Human Resources department. The thesis is composed of 10 chapters and each of them dealing with different aspects of personnel activities. Chapter One is introducy to the personnel management area and chapter Two and Three desribe the history and actual situation within this area. Chapter Four defines basic terminology which is used int the thesis and chapter Five focuses on human/personnel activities. In the chapter Six I tried to concentrate on the recruiting process and also discrabe the steps which are used.
