Association "Spolek Slovanek" in the context of the Czech pre-March society
Kopřiva, Jan-Hugo ; Pokorná, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Hlavačka, Milan (referee)
The concentration of rebirthal forces on the platform of associations and organizations became a significant phenomenon in the 19th century Bohemian lands. The work will try to show what challenges the efforts of the rebirth associations had to face, and what specifics the organizations of a purely female membership had. An example of such a society was Sestry slovanské, later called Spolek slovanek, which was founded in the stormy year of 1848 and whose activity, which included both publishing and educational activities, is the subject of this work. By the synthesis of archival research and study of professional literature I will attempt to map the internal relations of the society and it's public activities.
