Rationalisation of production technology
Konečný, Petr ; Kolář, Ladislav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the rationalization of production technology of selected component. The first part contains a brief introduction of the company NTS Prometal Machining s.r.o. and brief description of the product. The following section is an analysis of existing manufacturing technology. The practical part is focusing on the proposal of rationalization versions of the production process. After evaluation of all possible options of rationalization there has been developed a new technological process with a respect to time and cost savings. Finally there was carried out economical evaluation and recommendation for further production of this component.

Respiratory physiotherapy in neurology
Srp, Martin ; Jech, Robert (advisor) ; Baláž, Marek (referee) ; Konečný, Petr (referee)
Pneumonia is the leading cause of death in a large proportion of neurological diseases. Respiratory physiotherapy serves as a non-pharmacological option for supporting airway hygiene. However, current awareness of respiratory physiotherapy in neurological patients is not satisfactory. The aim of this thesis is to verify the effectiveness of expiratory muscle strength training (EMST) in three neurological diseases: multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease (PD) and multiple system atrophy (MSA). The results of this thesis show: 1) EMST led to a significant increase in expiratory muscle strength and voluntary peak cough flow in patients with MS. Therefore, we have shown that EMST is an effective method of respiratory physiotherapy in promoting airway hygiene in patients with MS. 2) We found in a demographic study that the PD healthcare model in Czechia is suboptimal. The utilization of a respiratory physiotherapy is low, and therefore its reorganization is needed. 3) We developed and patented a mobile application SpiroGym which provides visual feedback during training and sends the training results via a secure server directly to the therapist for telemedicine needs. In a pilot study, we verified its feasibility in patients with PD. The study results indicate that EMST coupled with the SpiroGym...
Sensor-based Objective Assessment of Motion Disorders
Dostál, Ondřej ; Vyšata, Oldřich (advisor) ; Konečný, Petr (referee) ; Bukovský, Ivo (referee)
Sensor-based objective assessment of motion disorders Ondřej Dostál Summary The problem of current research in the field of treatment and natural development of movement disorders in neurology and rehabilitation is the low reproducibility of clinical results due to high intra- and inter-individual variability. A possible solution is the use of low-energy biosensors with the aim of early diagnosis, continuous monitoring of therapy effect and early response to sudden deterioration. Long-term monitoring of an individual in the natural environment provides an alternative to current method of observation, which is limited to a single examination in unnatural conditions of medical facility. The advantage is the possibility of revealing hidden dependencies of measured quantities, objective view of functioning in common daily activities and subsequent optimalization of treatment. The combination of multiple parameters in real time allows more accurate modeling of human movement and its impairment in natural environment. It eliminates the influence of interpersonal interactions on the observed quantities and variability among evaluators, which ensures objective measurements. The reader will find a summary of current possibilities of physical activity recording, processing of obtained data, analysis using machine...
Differential Diagnostics,Prevention and Treatment of Back Pain Using the Computer Kinesiology System
Honců, Pavla ; Čelko, Alexander (advisor) ; Konečný, Petr (referee) ; Siegelová, Jarmila (referee)
Musculoskeletal disorders are the second most common cause of sick leave in people at working age, for this reason it is necessary to search ways of early detection of reversible functional disorders of the locomotor system before they develop into irreversible structural disorders. The aim of this thesis has been to examine the Medical Expert Information System Computer Kinesiology (MEIS CK), to present its effectiveness and to compare the results of therapy with the MEIS CK system in a group of participants with subacute and chronic back pain in the lumbar spine and in a group of participants without any back pain. The results of these two groups have been compared with the control group without MEIS CK therapy. The pilot study included 55 participants with subacute and chronic back pain (Group 1) and 51 participants without back pain (Group 2). Both groups were treated by MEIS CK therapy. In the third group, there were 67 healthy participants without back pain and without MEIS CK therapy. All 173 participants underwent MEIS CK tests three times during our research, which included 46 standard physiotherapy tests. The effect of MEIS CK therapy was assessed using the H score. Improvement after the therapy was defined by a reduction in the H score by at least 1 point. Data were statistically...
