Utilization of EEG biofeetback in work with childern who suffers attention deficit disorder

Subject of the thesis was focused on the utilization of EEG biofeedback for children with an Attention deficit disorder. The objective was to draw attention to one of the possible therapy methods for Attention deficit disorder and describe the EEG biofeedback in relation with it. The theoretical part addresses the attention disorders, their diagnostics, methods of treatment and the EEG biofeedback. The practical part describes use of the EEG biofeedback in work with children with the Attention deficit disorder through a qualitative research by means of in-depth semi-structured interviews. The interviews were handled from the viewpoint of a parent with a child having the attention disorder and from the view of a professional from a specialized institution. The results of the research on the examined cases show that this method of therapy may be effective not only in relation with the attention disorders, but it could also be used for other diagnosis.
The volunteer programs that support child in adoption or foster care

The aim of the thesis Volunteer programs that support child in adoption or foster care is to monitor the offer of volunteer programs for children in adoption foster care in the Czech Republic and to show possibilities of support which volunteer program could bring to children, including demonstrations of experience from similar programs abroad. The theoretical part of thesis describes the foster care system with respect to the child's needs and ways of support that are available to them in both professional and volunteer sphere. Emphasis is placed on the role of people who accompany a child on his way from the biological family to foster families, including important relationships and ties, which child lose during his way. It will also explain the idea and values of volunteering as unpaid voluntary work, including the typology of programs focusing on children and the ways volunteers can help to improve their situation. Practically oriented empirical part shows the concrete experiences of the actors from the volunteer program supporting children in foster care by the interviews. Upbringing of an only child

The thesis deals with the issue of singletons. Its main question is directed to the childhood of singletons and its importance for the whole life of a human. It wonders whether the childhood of singletons affects humans in adulthood, or in which areas and which way. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and part of the research. In the first part basic terms are defined which constitute the basis for the second part of the work. The research part of the work is more extensive and forms the core of the thesis. It is a qualitative research. Biographical design, specifically the realistic biography, has been used as the most appropriate research plan. First, three interviews were made and processed - depth probes of the respondents who grew up as the singletons. The analysis of the probes divided the interview into three stages: childhood upbringing, the upbringing of their own children and self-education. After processing the individual parts of the research, the final synthesis revealed that the childhood of the respondents and the fact of being an only child had a significant impact on their overall life. Educational problems of children in a difficult life situation

This thesis is focused on educational problems of children in a difficult life situation. The theoretical part deals with social pedagogical concept of a difficult situation in life. It also goes about coping of those situations and their specifics in children. It focuses on child endangerment of his family background and its consequences and symptoms at school. It also describes the various teachers' approaches to the child's situation. The practical part using qualitative research methods, in-depth interviews and document analysis examines the concrete manifestation of difficult life situations from the perspective of three children and their teachers with emphasis on their understanding, assessment and approach to this situation. The difficult life situation of children showed on many levels at school. It revelas at the level of relations with classmates, at the level of behavior, school performance, relationship to the teacher, etc. Teachers' attitudes were mostly responsive and supportive. This Master's Diploma Thesis The personal experience of Specific Learning Difficulties as the way how to understand student's abilities is devoted to educating students with specific learning disabilities. The special emphasis of the work is on the impact of disabilities on psychical, social, educational and professional life of an individual. The aim of the first part of the Research Project was to comprehend how students with specific learning disabilities perceive individual manifestations of their learning difficulties. The data were applied to a scheme and realization of an experimental workshop for primary school teachers with the aim of helping to improve the relationship between teachers and students. The purpose of the second part of research was to hold an experimental workshop offering its participants a subjective experience of specific developmental learning disabilities, their identification with students' learning difficulties and a future introduction of new didactic and psycho-social procedures into their teaching process. The theme of the thesis is The activities of a pedagogical worker with clients of an asylum house. The target is to find out what activities the pedagogical worker does in this kind of facility, what is the work description, how the worker works with clients and their children. Further more the thesis deals with necessity of pedagogical worker in an asylum house a their in/sufficient capacity. The thesis is focused on finding out the success of a pedagogical worker in this kind of facility and how the pedagogue reaches the target of their activity. In the theoretical part there I describe particular activities which the pedagigical worker carries out in an asylum house, it means in socially disadvantaged environment. In the empirical part of the thesis there I research whether the pedagogical worker is neccessary in this facility and wheteher and to what extent their work capacity is sufficient. Motivation of Adolescents to Self-Education and Self-Lead

This bachelor's work deals with motivation of adolescents for self-education and self- upbringing. Theoretical part contents definition of term "motivation" and explanation of its principals, further are described the important developmental turning-points of adolescent period mainly through characteristics that have an impact on formation of concerns for self- upbringing and self-education of adolescents. Research part of work forms qualitative research, whose aim was to stipulate, due to obtained results, which factors influence motivation of adolescents for self-education and self-upbringing. During research method of semi-structured interview and Grounded design theory were used. Research's results at the end of work, show that motivation of adolescents for self-educational and self-upbringing activities is influenced by internal and external factors, in various proportions. Strong external motivational elements are mainly parents and pressure from society, important internal elements are mainly desire to accomplish something, work on personality limits and have good job. Impact of those factors is than determined by adolescent's age, when the external factors are in the course of growing losing their power, while the internal are getting more adolescent's attention. The Bachelor's thesis deals home preparation of gifted young learners. The thesis is divided into two sections, a theoretical part and the empirical one. The theoretical part deals mainly with the explanation of basic terminology related to this issue, characterization, identification and diagnosis of gifted young learner and education opportunities. The theoretical part concludes with a chapter on home preparation. The empirical part comprises of a qualitative research to describe home preparation of gifted young learner, its specifics and check the used school materials and supplies that students use. The empirical part of the strategy of research is a case study and research method of semi-structured interview. The Use of Art Therapy Techniques in Special Education

This thesis is coming from the special pedagogy field transformation anticipated by its specialists; with this closely comes an expansion of the tool and competence range of a special pedagogue. The aim and major topic of this thesis is to describe and introduce the techniques and processes of art therapy, which can be used especially by special pedagogues. To this purpose serves humastically oriented direction of art therapy; herein used for the techniques description. The possible art theraypy methods impact is divided in three areas; activation and refreshment, relaxation, social interaction and communication. This division is completed with individual exercises examples and description of their usage within various groups. The text of this thesis also contains a special pedagogic evolution overview and description of its contemporary trends, a chapter dedicated to art, a brief overview of other expressive therapies and an individual chapter of art therapy.

Presented dissertation thesis deals with mentally disabled adolescents who are partially grown up in children's homes and in children's homes with school. The discussed topic is interdisciplinary and multi-layered. The aim of this thesis is to find out, describe and analyze what fulfils everyday life of adolescents with a mental disability and a marginal condition. The thesis also describes what these adolescents experience, what they encounter with, what they imagine in regards with their own future in the context of their life in children's homes. Multidisciplinary focus of the theoretical part of the thesis approaches adolescence as an evolutionary period in one's life and is based on work of Czech and foreign authors of evolutionary and social psychology. Adolescence is also considered as a period of potential risk connected with behavioural disorders which can cause child's placement in institutional education. The meaning of education is approached not only from the philosophical but also from the theoretical point of view. The thesis also covers the question of current possibilities of adolescents to complete their apprenticeship in a certain field of study.
