Project teaching as a way of integration of education contents

The general objective of the thesis is to investigate the possibilities of integration of education contents in project teaching from the theoretic viewpoint as well from the point of the current school practice. The thesis is drawn up as both theoretical and empirical. It processes historical resources and current literature and analyses the present teaching practice on the secondary level of primary schools. The thesis is divided into three basic parts: History of project teaching, present project teaching, and recommendation for didactic transformation of the curriculum. A significant look at project teaching was taken by the Czech theoretical and practical reform pedagogy in the 20s and 30s of the twentieth century. Various approaches to project teaching are described in project typology. In the current theory, project teaching is understood as one of the ways of approaching the goals of contemporary schooling. Project teaching is a suitable didactic means of meaningful integration of education contents. Integral education at primary school

Práce se zabývá problémem integrovaného vyučování v české primární škole, speciální důraz je položen na řešení možnosti další integrace vlastivědného učiva, na tuto teoretickou část navazuje zpracování návrhu projektu, který na základě respektování interdisciplinarity integruje učivo o domově, o rodném místě. Praktická část, tedy samotný vlastivědný projekt, se sestává z pracovních listů pro žáky 4. - S.ročníku zš a z teoreticko - metodických rádců pro učitele (včetně jednoho pedagogicko - filozofického okénka). Pracovní listy pro žáky jsou v práci barevně odlišeny.

Axiological Dimension in Education and Cultivation

To bring up and educate any person means to guide him/her to understand basic notions o f what a man can be and what is his/her mission. Such orientation towards being (existence) as an "active a ltern ativ e" implies orientation in constitutive values o f humanity based on which we create our attitude towards the world. My PhD Thesis named "Axiological Dimension in Education and U p b r in g in g " is focused on raising questions and developing arguments in the following area: which values and objectives should become the priority in education and upbringing o f the early 2 1 st century. There is one o f the core documents which tries to specify the above issues, e.g. the Report " Learning is Hidden W e a lth " elaborated by the UNESCO International Com m issio n - the "Education for the 21st c e n tu r y " headed by Jacques Delors. The four basic pillars are "to learn to co g n iz e " , " to learn to act" , "to learn to live to g e th e r " and "to learn to b e" and point out the necessity of philo sophical reflexion. They are linked with the basic philosophical questions postulated by Kant: " What can I k n o w ? " , "What can I do" , "What can I hope f o r? " and "What is a human being like?" Methods of teaching literature of the world

The aim of this dissertation is to help to improve the quality of teaching world literature in Vietnam, while making use of the experience with teaching this literature at secondary schools in the Czech Republic. This dissertation is based on studying professional pedagogical texts, as well as on hands-on teaching experience both in Vietnam and in the Czech Republic. Treatises and studies mainly by Czech authors and to a certain extent also by educationalists of worldwide reputation have served as theoretical background. Textbooks in both Vietnam and the Czech Republic may well be of use. This work is also founded on the author's practical experience with teaching from Vietnam. The cooperation with Czech teachers has proved extremely interesting and helpful in a number of points. Firstly, I had the chance to observe a number of lessons. Secondly, interviews with teachers and specialists have been a source of practical experience and information for me. Furthermore, there are experimental classes, to which the methods I suggested were applied to.
