Nedbalová, Monika ; Klumparová, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Nerlich, Lenka (referee)
The thesis deals with possible applications of literary texts in teaching of czech as a foreign language. The first part summarizes the position of literature within the framework of respective methodical directions both in the past and today and also what status is attributed to literature in teaching of foreign languages by contemporary education legislation (especially the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The work also includes an analysis of czech language textbooks for foreigners and of other publications based on the inclusion frequency of literary excerpts, on their type and potential didactic utilization. The theoretical part of the thesis contains chapters, which deal with the significance of literature in the teaching of foreign languages, in particular with literary texts and the definition of reader's competence, which are an important basis for the practical part of the work. The practical part contains four lesson proposals built upon working with specific literary texts (one prosaic and three poetic texts). The proposed lessons are suitable for level B1 and B1+ and combine reading of czech literature with education of intercultural competence (particularly important is the historical and cultural context of the period between years 1948 and 1989, in which the...
Forms of the Czech underground scene
Šulcová, Andrea ; Kubíček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Klumparová, Štěpánka (referee)
Resumé The diploma thesis is dedicated to the forms of the Czech underground scene on the basis of the analysis of two samizdat literary journals - Vokno (1979-1989) and Revolver Revue (1985-1989). The thesis studies analogous and distinct tendencies in both magazines which became the platforms of the different underground generations. Vokno is connected with the first underground generation that was formed at the beginning of the 1970s. The second underground generation debuted at beginning of the 1980s and later united around the Revolver Revue magazine. The next part of the diploma thesis focuses on the symptomatic features of the poetics of four central writers that shaped the appearance of the journals. The analysis arises from the texts published in both Vokno and Revolver Revue magazines.
Czech Catholic poets in the lessons of literature at high schools
Dolejší, Pavel ; Klumparová, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Hník, Ondřej (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to examine methods, forms, and processes for presenting the lives and work of the Czech catholic poets Jan Zahradníček, Bohuslav Reynek, and Josef Kostohryz during high-school literature lessons. Furthermore, the objective is to propose ways of introducing the young generation of readers to catholic poetry as a source of existentialist questions pertaining to life and existence, deep personal experiences, and spirituality regardless of their individual religious beliefs and preferences. Since this thesis is primarily intended to serve as a tool for high-school teachers, the text contains an extensive section that describes the general aspects of the proposed didactic approach, where the aim is to facilitate orientation in the proposed concept on the one hand, and, on the other hand, to define the foregoing aspects because they constitute the basis of the concept. The concept chosen as a means for achieving the objectives of the thesis is based on the principles, teaching methods, and forms of innovative learning. Innovative learning is based on the constructivist model and on an approach to teaching literature that is based on readership, interpretation, and creativity, where focus concentrates on the active and independent work of students, receptive and productive...

Havlová, Jana ; Brožová, Věra (advisor) ; Klumparová, Štěpánka (referee)
In my thesis paper entitled "The Function of Fanciful Motives in Present Czech Literature for Children" I begin by theoretically exploring the problems of fantasy literature and fantasy motifs. I then discuss the lives and work of various authors and focus on an analysis of their literary works with child heroes and fantasy motifs. I have selected texts for interpretation on the basis of the following conditions: the books are specifically intended for children and adolescents; the stories have a realistic level and the fantasy area is somehow part of this; the fantasy world is logically incorporated into the fictional world corresponding to our everyday experiences and this imaginary world therefore applies to real life; the fantasy motifs serve a specific function; and the fantasy motifs appear as an equal element to the realistic ones. The following works in particular are examined in this thesis paper: Emma and the Magic Book by Petra Braunová, Gabriela's Magic World by Pavel Brycz, The Enchanted Classroom by Ivona Březinová, Lenka and Nelka or AHA by Daniela Fischerová, The Magic Saturdays by Miloš Kratochvíl, Ghosts from Nerudova Street by Ivana Vostřáková and the books Wednesday Tastes Good, The Main Victory, The Owl's Song, Jožin goes to Africa, Eliáš and the Grandma from the Egg, Where has...

Actually, it describes specific features and a phenomenon of folk songs from the theoretical point of view. The second part of the Bachelor's thesis is a research resulting from a pre-research with the main aim to find out who is considered to be a folk singer for today's society. The pre-research is followed by the main research that should show the current role of song lyrics. Both researches were achieved by the short questionnaire and they claimed that nowadays the best-known folk singer is Jaromir Nohavica. Furthermore, it was found out that the role of song lyrics is really significant since they are almost the only way how poetry comes into contact with a broad society.
