The statue called The Cathedral is a natural extension of my work, which deals with organic morphology of the landscape, both the details and grand compositions, which in the countryside vyskytují.Stejně like most authors is my creative work reflection of my surroundings, both personal so near in geographical terms. Integrating these aspects arise impetus to creation. In the case of sculptures entitled The Cathedral is a rendering of the very strong impression of verticality, which dominates the landscape. Regularly clashing with seemingly ordinary natural objects such as trees, soil, hills or reliefs and reliefs such as landscapes, I got into an imaginary dialogue, which I decided to answer this statue and also portray already mentioned impressed. This feeling is for me identically comparable to a situation where the viewer stands in front of the high Gothic building and trying to accommodate the shape of a giant who stands before him. Its peak, it seems so distant, as if no end, and the broad base is a kind of sign of confidence in the form of stability. Parallels between these seemingly different topics I could not miss, so I decided to call the statue Cathedral. In this work, as in previous ones, I try to get into organic sculptures character with the help of the deformation of materials, or basically draping. Compacting elastic materials to try to create the statues of the tension that fascinates me in nature and creates the impression of growth, which is in the countryside of one of the strongest motives. Shape diversity, which is in the landscape, in my inexhaustible source of inspiration and has become lately a space that fills me. When I release the perception of various aspects of your imagination and build imaginary composition, which would then be identical expression perceived impressions.

Automated Trading System for Commodity Markets

This master’s thesis primary deals with a design and a development of own automated trading system which is specialized for commodity markets, especially corn, soybean, wheat and slightly for gold. You can find theoretical basics of technical analysis here, then technical indicators, risk management and trading systems themselves. System is completely designed and programmed in MetaTrader trading platform with using programming language MQL and genetic algorithms. The output of this thesis is portfolio containing six trading strategies which achieved totally 42,4 % increase in three months at the end of year 2014.

IMPACT OF DRAINAGE CHANNELS ON RUNOFF REGIME IN FOREST CATCHMENT

The main task of this diploma thesis is to evaluate function of system of open drainage channels and its impact on runoff from Tetřívčí brook forest catchment in Šumava mountains region, upper basin of the Blanice River. Catchment area is only 1,62 km2 and total length of all channels is over 12 km, so it's very important feature of this catchment. The first task was to explore to explore all the channels and set them to the map. Most of used data were measured manually, only precipitation and water level in main stream were measured by automatic gauges. It's not possible to compare results with state without channels, what is the main obstacle for data analysis. Measured channels normally contribute to total catchment runoff by 6 % to 39 %. About 20 % of channel length participate in runoff process in dry periods, in wet periods it can be even 90 % of channel length, what indicates functionality of drainage system. Actual soil saturation in the catchment is very important factor, it's expressed either by index API 5 (based on precipitation) or by groundwater level in 5 measured in separate drills. It's proved by channels responses in well-saturated periods. Runoff in measured channels raises up significantly after even very small precipitations of 1,7 mm. Possible assessment of runoff variability at experimental catchments in Šumava Mountains

Main aim of the thesis is to make an outline of possible indicators of runoff variability and options how to use these indicators to compare catchments of different attributes, based on literature review. Further is mentioned general information about experimental catchments and sorts of researchers which were made there. Applicative part aims at application of selected methods for central Šumava catchment (Ptačí creek, Rokytka river) and upper reaches of Blanice river (paired catchments of Tetřívčí and Zbytinský creek). The picture of the media in the Czechoslovak film of 1930's and 1940's

Master diploma thesis The Picture of the Media in the Czechoslovak Film of 1930's and 1940's presents the role of the media and their representatives in the Czechoslovak feature pictures released from 1930 to 1949. Its aim was to introduce the picture of the media in these two decades as well as to describe how this picture was influenced by the technological, social and political changes in this period. The second purpose of the thesis was to present how the cinematography was connected with the contemporary journalists, both Czechoslovak and foreign ones. The opening part of the thesis defines the analyzed pictures and the reasons of their enlistment into the analysis - the presentation of the media (the press, the radio, the press agency, the newsreel, and developing television) and their representatives. The following part summarizes the historical context of the involved period with the stress on the social, technological and economic changes. The crucial third part presents the detailed characteristic of the representation of the media and of their representatives in the analyzed film texts, i. e. describes the relevant content of these pieces of art. Assessment the effect of revitalizing measures of chosen peat bogs in the upper Vydra River basin on their water regime Abstract: Despite a number of research projects, the influence of peat bogs on the hydrological regime remains a largely unexplored topic. In the past, several peat bogs in the Šumava National Park were exposed to a very strong anthropogenic pressure. Subsequently, revitalizing measures were applied to mitigate the impact of human interventions, to stop the degradation of these precious habitats, and to reform the disturbed peat bog water regime. This thesis is focused especially on fluctuations of water table level and on the hydrological regime in the catchments of Rokytka and Cikánský Brooks. Thesis further develops the topic solved in author's bachelor thesis called "Peat bog revitalizing measures and their effect on runoff dynamics in the Otava River headstream area." It contains experimental research of the influence of drainage canals and revitalizing measures on water table fluctuation. It also aims to identify the extent to which meteorological factors contribute to changes in groundwater level and to assess the present state of revitalization measures and their influence on the runoff regime. The aim of this methodology is to give an overview of the ways in which historical photographic material can be used when creating the exposition, whether it be a short-term or long-term exposition, an exposition exclusively devoted to photography, or an exhibition in which photographs and films form only an accompanying backdrop. The instructions given in the individual chapters of the methodology should provide accessible and feasible solutions to workers who build the exposition.
