Slip factor of the hydrodynamic pumps
Duda, Petr ; Archalous, Jakub (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
Bachelor thesis contains basic information about the hydrodynamic pumps. It describes the specific energy for an infinite number of very thin blade and following corrections to the finite number of blades. Part of this work is dedicated to all-weather resulting in Blade to blade channel and their effect on specific energy pump. There are illustrated by calculations of correction factors of individual authors and finally corrections are made on real three impeller wheels with a comparison of different methods.
Check valve
Nehybová, Petra ; Závorka, Dalibor (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
In this Master thesis are mentioned the most used constructions of non-return valves. Further consist of operation principles, fields of application, properties and diffi-culties connected to non-return valves. Motion plug of check valve in liquid is described based on CFD Software simulation.
Pulse flow of liquid in flexible tube
Komoráš, Miroslav ; Šedivý, Dominik (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
This master’s thesis is dealing with analysis of fluid flow pulse in a flexible tube representing e.g. an artery in a human body. In ANSYS program, 3D simulations were performed, and these are so-called interrelated FSI analysis. In Maple software, 1D simulations of fluid flow in the tube were performed for various thin-walled and thick-walled variants. The aim is using these programs to determine the flow rates and pressures in the tube, its wall deformation and stress. Therefore, the theoretical part deals mainly with basic equations of flow dynamics, linear and nonlinear models and rotationally symmetric vessels. In the computational part are described individual procedures in the mentioned programs.
Function of surge chamber
Březina, Michal ; Jandourek, Pavel (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
The thesis is focused on creation of the mathematical model for calculating the change of fluid volume and flow in surge tank and air chamber during the water hammer effect. The work also includes the derivation of the basic equations of hydrodynamics and the theory dealing with water hammer including the possibilities in protection of the pipeline system during this phenomenon.
Vortex pump as a possible heart replacement
Coufalík, Martin ; Klas, Roman (referee) ; Klas, Roman (referee) ; Fialová, Simona (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of artificial hearts and ventricular assist devices. The theoretical part describes the heart and its function. Blood is characterized in terms of rheological behavior and the possible criteria for hemolysis are discussed. The following section describes the most commonly used ventricular assist devices, with emphasis on the use of the regenerative pump, including its components. In the practical part, an experimental analysis of two pumps (COV 43 and COV 23) is performed. Furthermore, non-dimensional characteristics of the pumps are constructed using the laws of similarity. In the computational part, the CFD analysis of the regenerative pump is performed by means of stationary and transient calculation. The results are compared with the experimental findings and based on the results, the impeller of regenerative pump was modified.
Pump station design optimization
Kunovský, Lukáš ; Klas, Roman (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis summarizes the necessary knowledge for the design of the pump station. It focuses on the choice of suitable pumps and control valves. It also provides information on mathematical optimization methods. By combining these two disciplines a program was created that selects the most suitable combination of pumps and valves for the assigned requirements. These can vary over time. The goal of optimization is to minimize initial and operating costs. The phenomena considered are: time-varying flow and head height, serial and parallel co-operation of pumps, throttling control, a change of characteristics for variable speed and temperature, suction height control, maximum motor output, loss in connection piping.
Hydraulic cylinder
Černý, Tomáš ; Kozák, Jiří (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
Bachelor thesis contains a brief description of the principle of operation of hydraulic motors, their use and computational relations. The main part of the research is devoted to hydraulic cylinders, their principle of function, division and construction. Also, a space for calculating the buckling stiffness of the piston rod is given. The next part deals with mathematical modeling of hydraulic mechanisms. A simple mathematical model is created in the case of a hydraulic cylinder with two identical piston rods and in the case of a differential piston. Based on the model, graphs of the frequency of oscillation are plotted. The possibilities of influencing the frequency of oscillating are explained by changing the parameters of the cylinder.
Pump design
Hlaváček, David ; Koutný, Luděk (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
The bachelor thesis contains basic information about hydrostatic pumps. In the first chapter, there is a basic dividing of hydraulic machines, it is followed by a brief charakteristic of the hydrostatic and hydrodynamic machines with their advantages and disadvantages. The main part is devoted to the hydrostatic pumps. At the beginning, there is dividing pumps, it is suplemented by principle operation of the individual types with transport parameteres, relations for calculating the geometric volume and with their advantages and disadvantages. At the end there are some basic formulas for calculating the hydrostatic pumps with their theoretical and real characteristics.
Slip factor of the hydrodynamic pumps
Chromek, Lukáš ; Himr, Daniel (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the initial draft of an impeller wheel, determination of its specific energy that has a pump with infinite number of impeller blades and following correction to real specific energy of an impeller wheel pump with finite number of blades. The correction will be performed using different methods by various authors and some of the methods will also be compared during the calculation of specific energy and discharge head of pump of several real impeller wheels. Then the thesis goes on to deal with some of the effects arising from the flow of fluid in the impeller wheel that often have negative influence on above-mentioned specific energy. At the end of the thesis, there will be brief abstract on problems of the correction, simulation, and analysis of flow in a blade channel using CFD software.
Hydraulic cylinder
Svárovský, Petr ; Jandourek, Pavel (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with problems of linear hydraulic motors. In the introduction, the general distribution of hydraulic motors is given. The main part of the thesis is devoted to linear hydraulic motors, their parts and construction. The strength calculation of the hydrau-lic motor is also given.
