Bankruptcy Prediction Modelling Small and Medium Enterprises

This thesis explores the issue of corporate bankruptcy in the Czech Republic, including its causes and related legal regulation. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on bankruptcy models and their creation, including the statistical methods used in these models. In the analytical part, the accuracy of selected bankruptcy models from different authors was tested, a new bankruptcy model was created using logistic regression on samples of small and medium-sized Czech and Slovak companies in the manufacturing industry, and the performance of this new model was subsequently compared to others.

A financial plan of business development

Master thesis is focused on a draft of a corporate financial plan for the manufacturing company HARTMANN – RICO a.s. and is divided into three parts. The first part contains the theoretical basis that are needed for the next chapters. The second part starts with the introduction of the selected company, followed by a strategic and financial analysis. The last part is a draft of the prediction of the corporate financial plan for the period 2022-2025, including a sensitivity analysis and evaluation of the financial plan with the help of selected financial indicators.

A Draft of a Corporate Financial Plan

The master’s thesis deals with the preparation of a draft corporate financial plan for MESIT machinery, a.s., odštěpný závod machining. The first part of the thesis contains the theoretical background of financial planning. The second part presents the analysed company. Based on the findings of both previous parts, the financial plan of the company for the period of 2022-2025 has been drafted in optimistic and pessimistic variants. The final part of the thesis evaluates the financial plan variants.

The diploma thesis focuses on the creation of a financial plan of the real company SAKO Brno, a.s. for the following 4 accounting periods. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part describes the general structure of the financial plan and specifies the most commonly used methods of creation. Through theoretical knowledge based on literature review, the second chapter of the thesis deals with practical analysis of the state of the environment, financial situation and future possibilities of the company. The final chapter deals with the creation of the financial plan itself.

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the evaluation of the economic situation of the company. The company is then focused on the years 2017 to 2021. The company's performance is compared both with selected competitors and with industry values. As part of the theoretical part, methods are presented, which are subsequently used in the analytical part to evaluate the economic situation of the company. In the proposal part, proposals are presented leading to the improvement of the economic situation of the company.

The last section is devoted to suggestions for improving the financial situation of the company, which are proposed in accordance with the identified weaknesses.

The second part deals with company introduction and with the strategic and financial analysis. The last part focuses on the proposal of the financial plan for the next four years. The financial plan is based on the findings obtained in the analyses and the company's intention and is concluded with an assessment based on financial and sensitivity analysis.
