Thema works: Desk study concerning EPOC for fitness training Student: Romana Klimovičová Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, Ph.D. Objective: The aims of this work are to give a complex view of problems of Excess Post Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) based on literature retrieval (primarily foreign publications) and to summarize all relevant knowledge available, as it seems to be key to the question of efficiency and the choice of the optimum training loads. Methods: Literature retrieval of information by using both foreign and czech resources published between 1970 and 2009. Summary: This work should serve both coaches and athletes as a brief summary of techniques and methods used in fitness training to monitor, analyze and evaluate the training load. The main aim is to introduce the less commonly known physiological indicator called "EPOC" and its potential applications. 5 THE PRECIS Title Children's contests in athletic preliminary tests Goals Making participant observation of competition organization and race continuance. Making an analysis of the race in light of : a) single branches, b) the work of arbitrators, c) the time programme, d) number of competetors in single branches limit, e) participation of girls and boys in single branches, f) children reaction on race continuance. Athletisc at elementary school in Kolín district

3 Abstract Title: Athletics at elementary schools in Kolín district Aims of work: The aim of my thesis is to collect information about present education of athletics at second grade of elementary schools from children's point of view. We would like to find out the poularity of component athletic disciplines among the pupils, standard of material equipment at schools for athletics classes and if there is an athletic club at school from the inquiry. The method: I used an inquiry method, where the respondents answered questions created by myself. Pupils from second degree of elementary schools in Kolín district were the representative file. Results: We reached the conclusion that popularity of athletics among the children at elementary schools is not very great from aquired and elaborated data. We also found out the popularity of component athletic disciplines among the pupils and school equipment for athletics classes. Our theories were validated only in part. Monitoring of physical activity of pupils in the ninth classes in Aš

3 ABSTRACT Thesis title: Monitoring of physical activity of pupils in the ninth classes in Aš. Objective: In this work, we tried to monitore leisure physical activities of pupils in the ninth classes in all schools in Aš. Methodology of the work: In order to meet the objectives of the work a questionnaire survey was carried out. I asked six teachers from four Aš schools that participated in the research to cooperate with me. A total n = 143 correctly completed questionnaires were collected from the pupils, after previous consultation with the school management, distributed to the teachers of physical education and applied in the 9th classes. In general, the subject of the research was sporting activities which pupils practise in their free time and also their attitudes to sport and physical education. Results of he work: The research shows that the numer of children who do not devote their free time to any physical activities is increasing. Unfortunately, the percentage of children who reported that they do not do any sport or they do not like physical education is too high at their age. Furthermore, it appears that there are not big differences in attitudes to physical activity in leisure time between boys and girls. Kateřina Davídková Work goals and tasks: To analyse alcohol, tobacco and drugs addiction of pupils at older school age Methods: A questionnaire of alcohol, tobacco and drugs addiction Results: An alcohol, tobacco and drugs analysis was practiced at grammar school and at gymnasium in Litoměřice region. Main goals and tasks of the work were realized. According to other monitoring realized in The Czech Republic the results of the work show the pupils at age 14 or 15 behave as same riskant as other pupils at the same age. 4 ABSTRACT Tittle (Thema works): Burn - out effect of teachers at school for children with special education needs Student: Bc. Kristýna Bímová Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan Ph.D. Methods: For my research I used no standardized questionnaire containing 2 parts. In the first part of questionnaire is found information to help compare questioned respondents. In the second part I used Henning and Keller (1996) questionnaire Which aim is to find out level of affection of questioned people on their psychophysical functions by stress and their total susceptibility to stress and burn-out effect. This is not evaluation test but informative which component of personality is endangered. Questionnaire contains 24 statements related to cognitive, emotional, physical and social effects of stress and burn-out effect. All respondents are in contact with children at Basic school for children with special education needs and work there. File contains 22 respondents. They are employees of school, 8 special teachers, 7 educators, 2 educator's assistants, 4 workers of Special Pedagogic Centre (2 speech therapists, 1 psychologist, 1 social worker). Objective: Processing biography of the famous Czech athlete Emil Zatopek with the help of newspaper articles, literary sources and other documents; obtaining information through electronic archive of daily Mlada fronta DNES about how was Emil Zátopek described in the daily Mlada fronta DNES in the period from July 1998 to July 2009; with the help of inquiry investigation to determine the current perception of the selected sample of the Czech population about Emil Zátopek. The aim of the study: The aim of this thesis is to determine, whether any changes in plantar pressure distribution occur in competitive distance runners during the stance phase of continuous steady running and continuous accelerating running depending on increasing fatigue and loading intensity, as well as, to show a practical significance of tensometrics for running technique and running economy evaluation, and show the options of its application in prevention of structural and functional changes of foot resulting from an extreme loading. Methods: The thesis has a character of a pilot study. Non-homogenous group of five distance runners - two competitive male runners, two competitive female runners, and one recreational male runner, participated in this study.
