Process of pressure sore risk identification according to Norton scale at the Central Military Hospital - Military University Hospital Prague

The goal of the bachelor work is to describe in detail process of pressure sore risk identification according to Norton scale by income nurse. The next partial goals are to find how nurse understands single items of the scale, with which form of the tool the nurse works with, when the process of pressure sore risk identification happens and which way it's documented. Another goal is to know if the nurse identifies the sore risk of the patient alone or in attendance of another person. The work is divided into theoretical part and practical part. Theoretical part introduces definition of the pressure sore, the reasons of the creation, degrees of the pressure sore and treatment. Furthermore, it describes each evaluation scale. Practical part focuses on execution of the qualitative research in a healthcare facility. Research, which has been made, introduces detailed description of how the identification of the pressure sore risk proceeds. It has been found that identification of pressure sore risk is part of the overall identification of the patient during the income on the medical department. Income nurse doesn't have sufficient information about patient before his arrival to the department.
