Social policy of the EU and its impact on czech legislation

The dissertation "Social policy of the EU and its impact on czech legislation" is dealing with the problem of the European social policy, as a policy with shared competences (that means that there are shared competences - between national states and it's authorities and the EU 's authorities), and it's increasing impact on the czech legislation. This growing influence of EU's authorities and EU primary and secondary law is caused by the czech EU membership (originated in 2004). In this dissertation, there were set two main goals. First of these two aims is to find out, in whitch scale is the czech legislation influenced by European Union's law, especially in the field of social policy. The second aim is to present particular changes and modifications of czech nation law, caused by the EU secondary law - by the regulations and implemented directives. The research methods used in this dissertation were: The European primary law analysis, witch led to the findings about the scale of EU authorities competences, in sence of czech national law transformation. The second half of this dissertation used the method of comparison. There were compared two labour law codes - the labour law code number 65/1965 and labour law code number 262/2006. Social security in the Czech Republic and Finland

The bachelor thesis concerns the social security in the Czech Republic and Finland. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is an introduction to social security, including an explanation of the main key terms. It particularly defines following terms - social security, social policy and social events. The second chapter focuses on social security in the Czech Republic and the third chapter provides a description of social security in Finland. The social security systems of both countries are analysed with a special focus on their insurance and non-insurance systems. The last chapter contains a comparison of both systems and their evaluation.
Thailand as a trade partner of the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to find out whether Thailand is a perspective market for Czech exporters and to identify market opportunities. PEST and SWOT analysis is used in order to investigate this opportunities. Furthermore, attractive sectors of Czech exporters to Thai market are identified. The position of Thailand in international trade and its integration into global value chains as well as business relations with the Czech Republic, including support of the Czech institutions and cultural and business differences, are taken into consideration. Following this information, the thesis can be used as a basis for decisions whether to enter the Thai market.
Impacts of Financial Crisis in 2007 - 2009 on the Export of the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to summarize financial crisis and its impact on economy of the Czech Republic, above all its export. In the first chapter, the term "financial crisis" is defined and then the cause of its origin. The second chapter focuses on the impact of the financial crisis on the Czech economy and also on government measures that were made to restore the Czech economy. The last chapter is about the impact on the international trade of the Czech Republic. Moreover, protectionist measures of the global powers, such as China or Russia, and also increased importance of the Czech Export Bank and Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation are explained.
Effect of growing openness of Turkish economy on income distribution

Turkey is a country that in the last three decades has undergone significant changes and developments leading to greater openness of the economy. It is also a member of OECD exhibiting one of the highest levels of inequality of income distribution. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the relationship between the openness of the Turkish economy and the distribution of income and verify whether this relationship develops analogously to the Kuznets curve. First, this paper deals with political and economic developments in Turkey between 1980 and 2012. Then, I approach the problem of inequality of income distribution and using the Gini index quantify and comment the income inequality. The final part is devoted to examining the relationship of openness of the economy and inequality of income distribution and verifies the assumption of an analogy to the Kuznets curve.
The position of Australia in the world economy

The bachelor thesis examines the position of the Australian economy in the world. This target is accomplished by using selected macroeconomic indicators and by characterizing the international trade and foreign direct investments. The thesis is structured into three chapters. The first chapter describes changes in the Australian economy and compares the macroeconomic indicators with other countries. The second chapter specifies the international trade in goods and services and foreign direct investments. The international trade is divided into territorial and commodity structure and the foreign direct investments are specified by inflow and outflow. The last chapter focuses on bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements and mentions the Australian most important business partners.
Financial crisis 2008 and its effects on the Czech economy

The objective is to evaluate the impact of the financial crisis in 2008 on real economy of the Czech Republic. First, it presents a theoretical basis for possible causes of the decline in economic activity, then the financial crisis itself. Methods of analysis and synthesis were used to meet the target of the thesis. Main macroeconomic indicators are explored in detail for the period of 2009-2013. Work is topped with a list of anti-crisis measures. Carried out exploration showed that the Czech economy managed to react to negative external influences in time, and its economy has proved to be very stable with little fluctuation and changes.
Economic Relations between Czech Republic and Canada

The topic of my bachelor thesis is Economic Relations between Czech Republic and Canada. I set goal of my thesis to be to evaluate economic relations between Czech Republic and Canada and based on the evaluation characterize current their economic relation and assess future potential. The thesis is divided into three chapters. First chapter describes economy and international trade of both countries separately, and focuses on their basic characteristics. Second chapter devotes to mutual relations and mutual trade of both countries. The historical and current situation of mutual relations is considered when assessing this matter and regarding mutual trade balance of trade, commodity and territorial structure is taken into account. Third chapter looks into the planned Comprehensive Trade and Economic Agreement between EU and Canada and expected impact on relations between Czech Republic and Canada.
The position of BRICS countries in the international commodity market

The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the current economic situation of BRICS countries , focusing on their foreign trade and production of major commodities. Due to the complexity of view at these countries, first two chapters are aimed at demographic and geographic aspects , the structure of the economy and the development of basic macroeconomic indicators. The second part focuses on commodity and territorial structure of foreign trade and a selection of important commodities.
The importance of Japanese investment in the Czech Republic: current status, trends and pespectives

The aim of my thesis is to introduce the readers to the importance of Japanese investment in the Czech Republic as one of the most attractive countries in Central Europe. I have divided my thesis into 3 chapters. The first chapter is focused on the definition of foreign direct investment. I define their purpose and goals that investors want to achieve. In the second chapter I describe the development of Japanese investment in Central Europe, especially Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. In the last chapter, I describe Japanese investment in the Czech Republic. In thispart, i put emphasis on Japanese companies that are operating in the Czech Republic.
