Stochastic discrete modeling of progressive damage of concrete structures
Kučera, Michal ; Sadílek, Václav (referee) ; Vořechovský, Miroslav (advisor)
The work focuses on the use of deterministic discrete modeling with representation of spatial randomness in material parameters to simulate a series of experimental tests of concrete specimens in the shape of a dog bone, loaded in excentric uniaxial tension. The main focus is on the influence of the size of the structure on its mechanical properties, especially nominal strength (Size effect). The specimens are modeled as a plane stress problem using available discrete computational methods.
Proposal of measures in the low voltage network for the implementation of renewable sources and electromobility according to scenarios NAP SG
Vojtěch, Jan ; Kučera, Michal (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The thesis analyzes legislative and strategic documents of the European Union and the Czech Republic which set targets in environment and energy area in 2030, alternatively in 2040. The individual chapter is dedicated to national action plans, where the most important is National Action Plan for Smart Grids setting specific requirements for future development of smart grids. The thesis contains analysis of distribution network in the municipality of Následovice and simplifying assumptions for the implementation of calculation. There are also introduced scenarios which have been used for the calculation of the distribution network with its results. Potential defects of the distribution network are commented with suggested solutions. The calculations were repeated to verify the solutions. Results are recapitulated in an individual chapter. Graphical outputs of the calculations can be found in the attachement.
Four-stroke single cylinder engine of racing motorcycle for MX1 class
Kučera, Michal ; Svída, David (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of single-cylinder four-stroke racing motorcycle with a displacement of 450 cm3. The introduction describes the MX1 class motorcycle engines design and basic parameters of the designed engine. This is followed by comparing construction of crank mechanism parts meeting strength calculations with components of contemporary racing engines. The next section describes the design of the timing mechanism, balance shaft, cylinder head, engine cylinder, gearbox shaft location and crankcase lubrication and cooling system.
Information System Assessment and Proposal for ICT Modification
Myslík, Martin ; Kučera, Michal (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis aims for evaluating the information system in the company Natural Pack Group Ltd. and its possible changes in order to improve the current situation. In the first part, there is defined theoretical background closely related to the topic of work. The second part is focused on analysing the current state of the enterprise and its information system. On the basic of this analysis, there are proposed changes in the third part, which will be led to improvements of the information systems and business processes of the company.
Proposal for Project of Map Portal in Voluntary Association of Municipalities
Kučera, Michal ; Doskočil, Radek (referee) ; Smolíková, Lenka (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the design of a map portal project for a voluntary association municipalities „Severovýchod“, which associates 43 municipalities, mainly from the Kyjov region. The map portal is commonly used by the municipality to administer the municipality. However, it also contains a number of data that are interesting to the general public. Due to the display of data directly in the map and the possibility of changing the underlying maps, this is an interesting form of data sharing.
Blood pressure monitor
Kučera, Michal ; Musil, Vladislav (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and realization of a prototype of non-invasive blood pressure monitor based on the principle of Korotkoff sound detection. The design compares this method of measuring blood pressure with other methods. This design of an automated measuring system, which is controlled by a microprocessor, utilizes the scanning of Korotkoff sounds with an electret microphone placed in the cuff. The microphone signal is then amplified, filtered and adjusted for evaluation. The prototype uses processor-controlled inflation by the compressor and deflation of the cuff by a valve that is open without applied voltage.
Analysis of 110 kV distribution network in the Otrokovice nodal area
Vachutka, Ondřej ; Kučera, Michal (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
Master's thesis deals with analysis of distribution network 110 kV in south Moravia area. Therefore it makes basic description of the scope EG.D, a.s. company, current state of the 110 kV electricity network and their development. The practical part of the master's thesis is focused on the transmission capacity of the 110 kV wiring and the voltage monitoring in the substation during winter network load. Simulations were constructed for analysis of network load for the years 2020, 2025, 2030 and 2035. Steady state was calculated for the normal state as well as for the emergency state (N-1). The analysis was created to ensure 110 kV distribution network in the nodal area Otrokovice during the failure of the entire 400/110 kV Otrokovice transformation station for the years 2025, 2030 and the design of a new 400/110 kV substation.
3D water jet
Kučera, Michal ; Kolář, Ladislav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the use and technological capabilities of abrasive water jet in the application of 3D cutting head. One part of this thesis is the description of waterjet technology and its other applications. The experimental comparison of the effect of the parameters was carried out for different materials Mach 4 equipment Flow International Corporation in company AWAC, spol. s.r.o. and subsequently the workpieces were subjected to evaluation of the shape and dimensional accuracy.
Usage of gasification units for electrical power generation
Kučera, Michal ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Bartošík, Tomáš (advisor)
The Bachelor's thesis deals with gasification and possibilities of its utilization for electric power generation. It begins with brief historical introduction of gasification and comparison of gasification with combustion. The thesis is particularly focused on coal gasification. Hence the actual role of coal in power engineering is described and some basic coal properties are discussed. In the next part the coal gasification technologies are mentioned. The thesis also deals with cooling a cleaning of the gas. Next to the utilizing of gained gas for power generation, there are other application where gasification can be used. But more attention is paid to the possibility of using gasification for power generation in power plants working with integrated gasification (so-called IGCC) and in consequence, the actual world situation is reviewed. At the end of the Bachelor´s thesis, the power
Using wavelet packet transformation for image compression
Kučera, Michal ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Kyselý, František (advisor)
The need for storing and transferring digital image data is still growing nowadays. The Compression is necessary to achieve effective usage of transfer and storage capacity. This Bachelor’s Thesis is concerned with compression method based on wavelet packet transform, which is derived from wavelet transform. It is focused especially on best basis search algorithms from whole wavelet packet tree. There is a comparison between 6 best basis and near-best basis search criterions by R. R. Coifman, M. V. Wickerhauser and C. Taswell in this thesis, which is achieved by using Matlab environment based program. The program was created for testing and demonstrative purpose only and that’s why it contains certain limitation such as only black and white image processing and its limited resolution. There is applied constant threshold on testing image after the several best basis criterions application. The Mean Squared Error is used for comparing outcome quality of compressed and original image. The function that acquires minimal Mean Squared Error is considered the best best-basis search criterion in term of visual quality. The results show that some of the Taswell’s functions significantly improve the visual quality of the image at the price of worse compression ratio against common Shannon entropy.
