Mobbing and bossing - negative phenomenon at the workplace

The subject of the bachelor thesis is mobbing and bossing as a negative phenomenon that occurs in the workplaces. Mobbing is the systematic bullying of an employee in the workplace by colleagues, bossing is bullying by a superior employee. This thesis aims to map the incidence, frequency, characteristics and strategies of mobbing and bossing in the workplaces of government institutions and the private sector and to compare the occurrence of bossing in the workplaces of South Bohemia and Prague. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first, the theoretical part, defines mobbing and bossing, describes their features, causes, goals, strategies, aggressors and victims, consequences, defence and prevention. The second, the practical part, focuses on the quantitative investigation based on an anonymous electronic questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire survey are answered in detail and hypotheses are analysed and evaluated.

This bachelor's thesis deals with issues relating to nutrition in patients with atopic dermatitis. Atopic dermatitis is a non-infectious chronic inflammatory skin disease. Its prevalence is still increasing and it can significantly affect the quality of life of patients as well as their families. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with etiology and pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis, its prevention, risk factors for its development and dietary recommendations for patients with atopic dermatitis. Other chapters of the theoretical part deal with methods of diagnosis of atopic dermatitis, epidemiology and prevalence of the disease, potential complications that can arise from atopic dermatitis, treatment principles of atopic dermatitis and principles of skin care. The main aim of the practical part is to check whether the diet of adult respondents, who are suffering from atopic dermatitis, affects clinical manifestation of atopic dermatitis and find out the proof of it. Another aim is to find out whether the extent of affected skin area is related to perception of limitations in activities of daily living caused by atopic dermatitis. The Making and Use of Educational Cards in the Job of a Nurse at the Surgical Ward The objective of the present work called ?The Making and Use of Educational Cards in the Job of a Nurse at the Surgical Ward? is to propose a unification, consolidation and simplification of information given to a client so that the educational process might be transparent, effective and acceptable for general (patient) public. At the beginning of the research the author set four goals: Goal 1: To find out whether the education of clients prior to selected surgical procedures is effective or not; Goal 2: To find out the methods of education of clients at the surgical ward prior to selected surgical procedures as viewed by nurses; Goal 3: To make (create) an educational means (educational cards) for clients prior to selected surgical procedures. Goal 4: To check the created educational means in the nursing practice. The author also set three questions for her inquiry: Question 1: What knowledge do clients have prior to the surgical procedure for a successful postoperative development? Question 2: What educational methods do nurses apply with clients prior to surgical procedures? Question 3: What positive aspects do clients perceive when working with educational cards? The inquiry took place in the Znojmo Hospital with the matron?s kind permission. To achieve successful results in her work, the author applied qualitative examination, the method of a questionnaire, the technique of a non-standardized interview. The object of the inquiry consisted of clients and nurses of the surgical ward. Having analysed the answers of all respondents, the author put together and subsequently checked in practice educational cards for clients prior to surgical procedures. The results of the present bachelor work can be used further in practice, e.g. the created educational cards can be left at the surgical ward at patients? disposal for the whole period of their hospitalization.
