The Evaluation of Company Financial Situation and Proposals to Its Improvement

Financial analysis methods are used to evaluate the financial health of the company ‘ABC s.r.o.’ over the period 2006-2010. On the basis of obtained results measures are proposed to improve the financial condition of the company. The first part of the Bachelor thesis deals with theory. Terms, methods and indicators are explained. The second – practical – part contains calculations of financial analysis and interpretation of results. Finally the financial situation of the company is summarized and author’s own solutions are presented.

Regulation and Harmonization of Accounting - Development of Trends

This thesis deals with the regulation and harmonization of accounting. The main function of accounting is to provide information to various users about the financial situation of the company. Primarily, these accounting reports needs to be subordinate to regulation in the National concept. In the Czech Republic it is especially Accounting Act, the government regulation and the Czech Accounting Standards for Entrepreneurs. As the national systems differ from each other, with time the need of worldwide harmonization arise which includes International Accounting Standards IAS/IFRS and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles used mainly in the United States of America. Harmonization of accounting within European Union realized through EU directives is still current topic. Basic differences are highlighted in approach to accounting in the Czech Republic and in the other country in context of modern methods and also historical development. The purpose of this work is to inform reader about the above mentioned methods and development trends in accounting.

Treatment of client suffering from Crohn's disease

The topic I chose for my bachelor thesis is the treatment of a client suffering from Crohn's disease. It consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part describes Crohns's disease including its history, occurrence, symptoms, treatment, impact on fertility and new findings connected to its treatment. The empirical part contains qualitative research in the form of a case study. The aim of the bachelor thesis was understanding the individual needs of a patient suffering from Crohns's disease. The case study describes the life of a woman from when the first symptoms were found till the present day. I found that the disease affects not only the physical but also the psycho-social aspect of the patients, which is often forgotten.
