Further professional education and development of managers in construction
Vildner, Roman ; Veteška, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kříž, Jaroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of further professional education and development of managers in the field of construction. Based on the analysis of the specifics of managerial work in this sector, an educational (development) program reflecting foreign trends will be designed. The key professional competencies of managers with an emphasis on controlling in construction (costs, planning, reporting, financial management, strategy, risk management and change management) and resource management will be modeled. The task of managers is to identify such resources, incl. talented workers. Art is then able to use these precious resources, which are difficult to imitate and substitute, effectively. The resource-based approach emphasizes, like human capital theory, that investing in people increases an individual's value to the organization. This is related to the assumption that a company achieves lasting prosperity and competitive advantage when it has top specialists who cannot be easily acquired or replaced by competitors. High school graduates can also be counted among the potential sources. Working with them is currently necessary, as it is one of the options for recruiting new workers, which is in short supply on the labor market. The whole research design was built to reflect the two levels...
Androdidactic specifics of motor vehicle drivers' education
Marek, Prokop ; Veteška, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kříž, Jaroslav (referee)
For many years, the field of drivers' education has been the domain of secondary school teachers. As in other fields, individuals are beginning to appear, who want to go further with their education and development here - for example by studying pedagogy or andragogy at universities, with the aim to achieve higher professionalism, efficiency and empathy in their educational activities. They want to further cultivate their personality and increase the level of their teaching work. The personality of the lecturer is in many respects a role model for the listeners. He can be as good as a bad example. Only in few areas of human life, people face such dangers as road users. It is therefore appropriate to deal with the quality and competence of lecturers providing the interpretation of the provisions of Act No. 361/2000 Coll., On Roads Traffic (the Road Traffic Act) and related regulations, including communication about their own experiences and recommendations, or appropriate interpretation of other road traffic' participants. Quality training of the lecturer and the ability to reproduce the necessary facts and experiences to the students of professional driver training courses is an important factor in reducing traffic accidents and all their consequences. The following text aims to use the knowledge of...
Systemic approaches to employee evaluation and rewarding
Větrovec, Vladislav ; Veteška, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kříž, Jaroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of evaluation and remuneration of employees based on new methods and approaches. Appraisal is usually only related to "job evaluation", i.e. the evaluation and management of job performance itself. However, we rarely find a systematic evaluation of its process, conditions and results in the context of strategic management of the company and the model of remuneration and evaluation. Reward in the company should be supported by a reward philosophy based on a strategic reward model. This leads to ensuring fair, transparent and effective remuneration of employees, particularly in accordance with labour legislation and in relation to the economic performance of the organisation. The remuneration philosophy expresses the organisation's beliefs about how people should be rewarded in order to ensure that remuneration is implemented for the benefit of both the organisation and its members. In corporate practice, this leads to the need for a clearly established and defined system of rewarding employees in relation to the principles of objective evaluation. The output of the thesis will be a critical evaluation of selected models of evaluation and rewarding employees in the organization based on the principles of strategic management in relation to the analysis of work...

The patients completed questionnaires covering the age at first sexual intercourse, number of lifetime and current sexual partners, frequency of sexual intercourse and the method of contraception. The differences in findings on laparoscopy and questionnaire results of women with positive and negative proof of Chlamydia infection were studied. Fisher's exact test was used for data description and group differences analysis. We observed that 30,2% (n=39) of a cohort of 129 women with chronic pelvic pain were...

Kříž, Jaroslav ; Šatava, Leoš (advisor) ; Dubovický, Ivan (referee) ; Polách, Vladimír (referee)
During the migration waves in the 19th century many Czechs immigrated to America. One of their final destinations was the city of Chicago. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries this became the largest Czech occupied base abroad. Over a hundred thousand Czechs lived in Chicago at that time so it was therefore considered to be the third largest Czech city. The topic of the dissertation thesis is the analysis the course of Czech migration to Chicago and the related development of the Czech minority. Key attention is devoted to the socio-cultural, economic and political development of the Czech minority in terms of ethno-historical methods. Furthermore, the author will focus on important historical milestones and events of this city, which in some way influenced the Czech minority. Time definition of work is 1852-1945 and follows from a historical perspective, because the first Czech immigrants arrive in greater numbers to this American territory only in the fifties of the 19th century. On the other hand, the Second World War concludes a period that was important for the Czech ethnic group in Chicago. After 1945 there is a significant assimilation process (the Czech minority is massively Americanized) and the Czech expatriate center is declining in importance.
