Computer Network Design for the Building of Post Office

This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a computer network for the main Post Office in Považská Bystrica. The starting point for the design creation was the ground plan of the building, then the analysis of the current state of the network, the requirements of the investor and the users of the network, too. The work consists of three main parts. The first analytical part focuses on the introduction of the company, for which is this network designed. This part also concerns to analyzing of the current state of the network. In further part, which is the teoretical one, there are defined the theoretical bases which are applied during the design creation. Final part is dedicated to the design itself.

Thesis deals with the design implementation of network infrastructure to the newly exhibited multipurpose building. I tis based on materials of construction plans and client requirements. Bachelor thesis contains theoretical background necessary to analyze user needs and design appropriate solutions. Result proposal is presented in the form of plans for the facility with management routes, recommended infrastructure elements and a summary of the calculated budget implementation.

The next part defines theoretical starting points of the thesis. The last part includes the final network infrastructure design itself. The thesis includes an analysis of the costs of the proposed solution and technical documentation.
