Synthesis and characterisation of advanced molecules with implemented adamantane skeleton
Jančík, Ján ; Maier,, Lukáš (referee) ; Krajčovič, Jozef (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes synthetic approach and characterization of advanced molecules with implemented adamantane skeleton and perspective use in attractive field of organic electronics. Three of four prepared molecules based on para-bis(2-thienyl)phenylene are original and totally new, and there were performed different synthetic approaches with comparison of yield, ecological and financial impact. Study of microwave synthetic approach was provided for cross-coupling reactions on para-bis(2-thienyl)phenylene skeleton. For all molecules were used ethyladamantyl and methyladamantyl substituents. Also, two completely new molecules based on 2,2':5',2''-terthiophene with ethyladamantyl and methyladamantyl substituents were prepared. In the next part were prepared new dimer structures of adamantane with possible application on field of polymers as bridge molecules. In the thesis were also made series of experiments for preparation of tetrasubstituted adamantane molecules, and for optimisation of preparation of spiroadamantane systems.
IMPLEMETATION OF POLYCYCLIC SATURATED SYSTEMS IN ADVANCED SMART MOLECULES USABLE IN ORGANIC ELECTRONICS
Jančík, Ján ; Richtár, Jan (referee) ; Krajčovič, Jozef (advisor)
This essay deals with implementation of polycyclic saturated systems as bulky and very stable molecules, in advanced systems usable in organic electronics. It deals with theoretical aspects of structure and properties of polycyclic saturated systems, which based on available examples and literature are very perspective. Based on theoretical aspect in the first part of essay, the second part deals with synthesis of new molecule with incorporation of polycyclic saturated system usable in organic electronics. This part deals with all main intermediates synthetized via cross-coupling reactions.
Linear buckling analysis of a flue gas pipe
Jančík, Jan ; Klučka, Ivan (referee) ; Naď, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the loss of stability of thin-walled flue pipe at coal power plant. The problem of thin-walled structures is their propensity to the loss of stability due to abnormal conditions, for example a vacuum, effect of wind, snow and earthquake. The purpose is to find the optimal deployment of reinforcements so that the model meets the requirements of EN 1993-1-6. This required an evaluation of unreinforced version of the model to identify weaknesses and subsequently other configurations for the application of reinforcement. For determining the resistance the flue pipe to the loss of stability used primarily to access linear bifurcation analysis based on linear analysis, possibly materially nonlinear analysis. The result of work is a design of reinforcement of pipeline which under the requirements of the standard meets the latest model with a reserve of approximately 20 %.
Energy sources and consumption
Jančík, Jan ; Vondra, Marek (referee) ; Bobák, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with energy sources and consumption. The main part is dedicated to renewable energy sources and non-renewable energy sources. The work also includes consideration of human consumption and energy intensity measurement wash cycle in the home.
Implementation of polycyclic saturated systems in synthesis of advanced organic and hybrid materials for application in organic electronics
Jančík, Ján ; Částková, Klára (referee) ; Todorov, Petar (referee) ; Krajčovič, Jozef (advisor)
Ve všech oblastech současného průmyslu zažívají pokročilé materiály extrémní romzmach, a to díky neustálé miniaturizaci součástek a elektroniky, vytváření chytrých a funkčních materiálů, vývoji nových terapeutických a diagnostických metod a v neposlední řadě zdokonalování a zefektivňování výrobních procesů. Významné postavení v tomto systému má sektor organické elektroniky, ve kterém řada technologických firem a investorů vidí velkou budoucnost. K prokázání flexibility, všestrannosti a škálovatelnosti pokročilých materiálů byly syntetizované a zkumané zcela nové adamantanem substituované polythiofeny.
Nord Stream 2: In accordance with the EU's Energy security strategy?
Jančík, Jan ; Kučerová, Irah (advisor) ; Plechanovová, Běla (referee)
The diploma thesis is focused on the energy security of the European union, specifically on the import of natural gas. The dependence on the import of natural gas is one of the key questions for the energy security of the EU. One of the tools for dealing with this issue is diversification of the suppliers a searching for a new sources of energy to sustain the economical development of the EU. One of the goals of the EU' Energy security strategy is to lower its dependence on gas imports from Russia. In the lights of recent events, when the gas supply was disrupted a few times, because of the events on Ukraine, Russian aggression in the eastern part of Ukraine and annexation of the Crimea, EU is looking for a better alternative. The research is trying to find out what is the role of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, which will bypass Ukraine and go straight from Russia to Germany and will have impact on other Central and Eastern European countries. The question is whether the project is viable vis-a-vis energy security framework metrics and whether there are better alternatives such as the Southern Gas Corridor or the possibility to import liquified natural gas LNG from elsewhere. Apart from the energy security framework the geopolitics is taken into an account and will try to explain the power...

Mexican Drug War
Jančík, Jan ; Krausz Hladká, Malvína (advisor) ; Svitková, Katarína (referee)
This Bachelor's thesis is focused on description of situation which occurred after presidential elections in Mexico in 2006 when newly elected president Felipe Calderón launched massive operation targeted on eradicating drug cartels using both police and military capacities. This operation however meant huge upheaval and rise of violence caused not only by clashes of cartels with government but also by fights among warring cartels struggling for power and territory. The main aim of this thesis is to provide basic summary of this six years era considering all the main players, their territories and shifting of power and also to find out if the surging death rate after the year 2006 was primarily caused by Calderón's decision to deploy armed forces to fight drug cartels.
